UNFORTUNATELY THE STUPID CONSTRUCTION THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS(LITERALLY) HAS MOVED UP TO THAT AREA. I SAW 3 TRUCKS ON THE FRONT AND I WAS ALREADY GOING TO BE LATE TO WORK BY SEVERAL MINUTES. SO I SAW THE RIGHT LANE OPEN AND THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN SO I WENT FROM THE RIGHT, BYPASSING THE OTHER VEHICLES, BUT IN NO WAY PUT ANYONE OR ANYTHING IN DANGER. WHEN I REACH THE NEXT INTERSECTION, I SEE COPS PULLING ME OVER. SO IM 17 AND STILL PROVISIONAL, THE COP PRETTY MUCH HELPED ME OUT BY NOT GIVING ME A SPEEDING TICKET BUT HE GAVE ME THE 21755 TICKET. HE ALSO WROTE SCHOOL AND CONSTRUCTION ZONE WITH CONES PRESENT. AND IN THAT AREA, THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO CONES. THERE WERE CONES ON THE INTERSECTION THAT HE STOPPED ME AT THE SCHOOL WAS ANOTHER 5 BLOCKS DOWN. BASICALLY IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN GO TO TRAFFIC SCHOOL OR FIGHT THIS CASE OR HOW MUCH IS THE TICKET?THANKS IN ADVANCE!

THAT’S WHEN THE COP PULLED ME OVER ON THE CROSS STREETS OF ROSCOE AND VANTAGE AND ASSIGNED ME MY TICKET. THE SCHOOL WAS 5 BLOCKS DOWN RIGHT BEFORE WHITSETT AND ANOTHER SCHOOL WAS DOWN LAUREL CANYON AFTER CANTARA STREET. THERE WERE NO STUDENTS PRESENT ANYWHERE AROUND AND ALSO THE PART WHERE I BYPASSED, THERE WAS NO CONSTRUCTION NOR ANY CONES IN THAT AREA. Recently I have met up with this girl that I haven't felt so strong for in a while, I have only known her for about 2 weeks but I am worried I may have gone too overboard and I want to avoid the friend zone. I have abit of t-zone.blackheads on my nose, afew white heads on my chin, and afew other pimples on each side of my nose, chin and like 1 on my forehead. Can Homeschool students become official Thespians?I am an inducted member of my zoned High School's Thespian troupe (I'm also an officer), but I decided (based on many factors) to home-school this year. At the time, I remember reading (though it isn't in the Thespian Handbook from what I can tell) that "home-school students may take part in their zoned high school's Thespian troupe if approved by the director" (paraphrased, but the same idea) so I didn't think it would be an issue, but today my director expressed concernsthat I wouldn't be able to compete in District and State competitions because i wasn't official enrolled at the high school (yeah, thanks for letting me know *now*).So I suppose I'm asking whether or not any former or current Thespians are aware of anyone in this circumstance? I just know *tons* of home-schooled young actors in community theatre, so I'm thinking that I can't be the only one out there who wants to be a Thespian (well, *is* a Thespian). I don't mind stepping down from my officer position if that's what I have to do (even though I have no issues fulfilling all my duties and attending meetings and fundraisers), but I would hate for it to come to that if there are other options.Well the issue is that I *am* initiated already *and* I'm an officer and now other members are questioning my right to be homeschooled and an officer since I'm not enrolled at the school.After more research, I found that it is in fact illegal for extra curricular organizations to discriminate against home school students as long as they have met academic standards and conduct themselves properly. SO I think my issue is solved.

Ever since we were in middle school, this guy has had a girlfriend but has been sleeping with me on the side. I'm now in college and he is back in town and has a girlfriend and again I am allowing him to sleep with me. I feel like he tells me all these sweet things (like how he wants to marry me) because I am his comfort zone in relationships. It's as if he can't be in a relationship with anyone else if he is not sleeping with me too. But he has had a few relationships without being with me but he wasn't in town while those were happening. I don't know if he loves me or if I'm just he's punching bag....a girl that he knows he can always hurt over and over again.
I got a laptop and i haven't' used it in over a year, now that school is about to start i need to use it. However i cannot access the internet even though I'm using a linksys wireless router and my laptop detects it and says its excellent. But when i go on internet explorer says page cannot be displayed. Same as Firefox. My Lan Settings are automatic detect and my firewall is disabled. I plug a enternet cable into the router and still no internet. I go to Ip settings and press repair but i always get " Operation Failed: Renewing Ip address please contact administrator" That appears right after i press repair. I'm getting really mad that its not working my psp and Nintendo Wii both get internet i don't know what's happening.Can an experienced computer user please tell me step by step what to do, or tell me what's happening and how i can fix it thanks. I don't have zone alarm and no firewall. I have windows Xp service pack 1 and can't update it because it have no internet access. Its a laptop and it says excellent signal in the bottom right conquer but when i repair in says i can't renew it the next second.
I'm 14, almost 15, and a sophomore in high school. For the first year of high school, I was shy and scared and overwhelmed by high school, and I didn't really know how to make friends. Now, there's this girl who I'm in two classes with. I kind of knew her last year but I've gotten to know her a lot better this year. One of the classes I have with her is PE, and in PE i'm hanging out with her and a close friend of hers. She and her friend are both really nice. They're kind to everyone, even this special ed kid whom everyone else is mean to. They seem really sweet and accepting and open. They hang out with this girl in my math class who I don't think likes me very much. But she could be just shy, and that's why she won't talk to me. So you think maybe tomorrow I should ask them after PE if I can sit with them at lunch? We have PE right before lunch. You think they'd be okay with that? They're honestly two of the sweetest girls I know, but some people can be all weirded out if someone else tries to hang out with them. I don't know ... I need opinions. I'm shy about some things. I'm driving on a road that has a 35 mph speed limit. I encounter a school zone sign so I turn my speed limit to 25mph (the school zone limit). When am I suppose to revert back to 35 mph? I drive down the road for a long time and I do not see a "End School Zone" sign anywhere. Is the school zone over when I encounter the next Speed Limit sign?So its safe to exit the School Zone speed when i encounter the next Speed Limit sign? I ask this because theres a 35mph Speed Limit sign about 100m after encountering the School Zone sign.
My sister is 22 years old and will soon to be an elementary school teacher. She is a kind person and utterly dedicated her profession because she wants to change lives. But there are also some changes she should be making in her own life. She does not have people she could truly consider friends (and has not since middle school). She lives at home and hangs around with our younger siblings and parents. She simply refuses to do anything that would lead her out of her comfort zone of being just with the family and actually getting to know people her own age. I see this as unhealthy, but she insists that she is happy with her life the way it is. She insists that teaching will fill up her whole life, so she won’t have time for people. Are friendships actually optional in life? Could she really be happy this way or is she likely to scared to change how she has been for years? I am just worried about her, but I am prying too much?I do not dispute that teaching is fulfilling, but I also realize it does not take up every waking hour. Is there no benefit to making her realize the value of having people in your life?
Im 16 years old and I got a speeding ticket after school. I wasnt speeding in a school zone but i was speeding like on a open road next to the main road. Okay, I was going 45 because the speed limit on roads over here are usually 45. So I was driving down the road going 45 and I didnt see any Speed Limit signs. So a cop stops me for going 45 on a 30. I used to play on the team, I loved the atmosphere of competition, playing zone defense, running offense and playing a real darn game. However after leaving to college I haven't played a proper game for 2 years, except a few pick up games and some intramural. However the intramural bores me, and people never take it seriously, there's no coach, no motivation to play competitively.So my question is... where can I play the kind of competitive basketball, I used to experience during High School? are there local clubs I can join? do they win trophies or at least take games seriously?If so where can I find these clubs and what do you think is the best way to get back in shape?Thanks
So long story short: My ex broke up with me becuase i became a little to "needy" for her liking, being there all the time and such, buying things for her, doing all these nice things too much without giving her any space..she said she "just wanted to be friends" and "didnt want to date anyone right now"So after i begged for 2 days to take me back (which wasnt going to work) i did give her space...i went home for a month and a half. So i've gotten over her, a lot, and really dont know if I even would want her back now (becuase of the way she treated me, hanging out wtih other guys after the break up (no dating my ass!), the fact I did so much for her without much in return)..but when I get back to school I will see her again and she already is flirting and wants to hang out with me. This is kind of dumb but it's starting to really embarrass me. I have an idea of what looks good but I can't stop dressing like a 16-year-old. I'm 20. Every time I go to the store I have this weird "tomboy comfort zone" and I never seem to be able to walk away with more than a few new fitted t-shirts, tanks, or some jeans and Converse-like shoes. When I do buy something slightly out of the t-shirt category it's never enough impact or quantity to change my wardrobe. And I'm pretty sure girls scoff at my "purse", but I think the price of designer bags is a complete waste. And if something "dressy-casual" comes up I'm always screwed.How should I start breaking this?Also it doesn't help that I have really flat feet, so cute flats are out of the question. So long story short: My ex broke up with me becuase i became a little to "needy" for her liking, being there all the time and such, buying things for her, doing all these nice things too much without giving her any space..she said she "just wanted to be friends" and "didnt want to date anyone right now"So after i begged for 2 days to take me back (which wasnt going to work) i did give her space...i went home for a month and a half. So i've gotten over her, a lot, and really dont know if I even would want her back now (becuase of the way she treated me, hanging out wtih other guys after the break up (no dating my ***!), the fact I did so much for her without much in return)..but when I get back to school I will see her again and she already is flirting and wants to hang out with me. She has tried to push the "friends" thing since I left, but i have always made the converstaion exciting and then cut it short after 5 minutes for fear of slipping into the dreaded "friends zone".Anyway, she's flirting and is asking when im coming back and when i can hang out and stuff. We have a bet going where if i lose I gotta give her a foot massage. I want people's opinions on if I should forget this girl completely, or see her again and show here the man I am while being distant (almost playing hard to get). Can I get this girl back into my arms? Or is she just trying to keep me hanging on? One things for sure, if i did hang out with her again I wouldnt be on my hands and knees for her like before! so heres the deal. I have lived in one part of my city for almost my whole life and now i just moved to the suburbs so it a whole new area. Plus im also going into highschool in a week. But i dont know a single person. So what is the easiest way to meet some new friends. I can make friends easy but i can also be a little shy, my guess is i will be shy cuz at my old school it was prob easy cuz atleast i already knew some ppl. kinda like i wuz on my own turf ya know. i had tons at my old school but im gonna lose'em all. I'm 6'0 and 170 lbs. I make good grades and have a lot of friends. I'm actually good friends w/ almost all the guys at my school. I'm really outgoing and confident, but girls seem to always reject me. The problem doesn't rely on confidence. I have confidence, but i am not cocky. If i'm being honest i'm probably one of the funniest kids in my class. I just don't get why i always get friend zoned. What am i doing wrong? I'm not the most attractive guy in the world, but i'm definatly not ugly. I'm not fat, but i'm not skinny either. I'm really tan and i constantly get told how great my personality is, and how nice a guy I am. Seriously wtf am i doing wrong?
The Answer?What can be said about raising children? There is no rulebook. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. All we can do is take the best guess for each child in each situation and hope we did what was right. To try and tell them about our youth is fruitless. Just as we did not listen to our parents, they won’t listen to us. Experiences, whether they be good or bad are the best teachers. If we never stepped in the shit, we would never know the beauty of a rose. Anger can be so misguided. The instant of frustration that is vented can do more damage than the event that brought on the anger. We run the risk of alienation while trying to “bond” with our children. We are not here to be their friends. We are parents, burdened with the responsibility of preparing our children to enter society with the necessary tools to be productive members of a class that is judged by such useless guidelines as wealth and materialistic positions. The goodness in their souls far outweighs (or should) their financial class. Teenagers cannot see this and it is likely the last thing on their minds. What does Johnny have? I want it. What do the girls expect of the boys? That is what I want. They call it peer pressure. I call it the ruination of individualism. If we all look alike, think alike, act alike, where is the uniqueness that we all possess? At some point we all start to develop into “ourselves”. This is where we realize what makes us tick. What draws emotion from us? It can manifest itself in various formats. Some will strike out in rebelliousness; others revert into a state of passivity. Neither is to be judged better or worse than the other, for it all comes under the guise of expression. If stifled, the personality will contort into a form of a human that is neither unique nor different. To respond to a parent out of fear is to develop a layer of paranoia that will bury any creative juices that may be waiting to come forth.Quite frequently, institutionalizing children has become a popular “solution” for solving problems that mom and dad can’t handle. Military schools, boarding schools and the likes of these have been around for some time. On a whole the results have been varied at best. A significant number of children put in these environments turn their anger towards the one who put them there. The parent. “But we were only trying to help you. We were at a loss as to what to do. It seemed no matter what we tried didn’t work.” Well, the price of doing business just went up. The scars from these internments are life long and can have detrimental effects that aren’t resolved for years, if ever. Granted, the disciplinarian concepts associated with these institutions do work on some children. In particular some young boys are quite capable of adapting to the structured environment that these schools offer. I suspect that the ones who do adapt have had little or no structure in their homes.In homes where the father is absent for lengthy periods due to work, a different phenomenon seems to take place. The mother “nurturer” is left to solve and resolve all of the conflicts that arise while he is gone. He spends weeks at a time apart from the ones he loves, in order to provide a lifestyle for them that he hopes will enrich their lives. Meanwhile the mother is saddled with the day-to-day grind of her own world. Getting the kids to school, her job if she works, the household chores and various other necessities of maintaining a home. When her limit has been reached, she falls back on the age-old standby. “Wait until your father gets home!” Now the father who has truly missed his family, is forced into a position where in the midst of reuniting with his children, he must become the enforcer. The righter of all wrongs. The one whose words have the final assault on the fragile hearts those young children have. Although he means well by all rights, the fact is, he rarely has good news for the child that has been out of line. This invariably leads the children to hold their breath and wait for the “enforcer” to leave. The damage done.Now the mother usually spends countless hours and dollars trying to placate the children who have had their “feelings” hurt. The cyclical nature of this repetitive process seems to produce children that are neither disciplined nor dangerous. They are in a sort of twilight zone of emotions. Of course they want to please both parents, but the fear instilled by the “enforcer” outweighs the kindness of the “nurturer”. Einstein’s’ theorem of relativity says that for every action there shall be an equal and opposite reaction. Here we see an excellent case in point. If the “nurturer” becomes too forceful, the “enforcer” loses his power. And conversely, if the “enforcer” becomes too kind, the usefulness of the “nurturer” is diminished. To achieve the balance necessary to raise constructive children is a monumental task. It seems that the result is to throw the dice and hope for the best.Frank Zappa once said, that we (parents) are merely bus drivers with a precious cargo on board. We strive to travel through the best neighborhoods and maneuver with the utmost caution. All the while knowing that our passengers will disembark at the destination of their own choosing. I suppose if we have done our jobs well, our “passengers” will arrive in a place that brings them harmony and happiness without inflicting harm or discomfort to others.I present these questions while readily admitting I have none of the answers. Okay. School just started. I am a senoir. She is a junoir. I hate to admit but im alittle under experienced in the girl section. I went to a christian school(10 people in my class) for all my life and was alittle sheltered. Now I go to a public school thats about 500 in my grade. Its my second year there. I sit next to this girl in math. She is sorta always flirting with me. She is a new girl 2. I ate lunch with her today and a few of my friends. She kept looking at me and smiling and when i looked at her back she would say "what?!" and giggle and smile. I think it was pretty obvious she likes me but im just not sure. She is super cute and i havent had a girlfriend in awhile so im nervous. All my friends make little jokes about how she is my gf but i dont really know her that well. I am also alittle worried that Ill get into that "friends zone" from that movie j=Just Friends. So please dont be sarcastic. Just give me some help and tell me what I should do or what you would do. I've been told I lack confidence, so when I moved to a new school I tried busting out of my shell. Though I have more guy friends I hate the thought that I might be in the "friend zone". My friend (to whom is making me think this) is constantly telling me that she gets asked out on dates constantly. I don't know if they don't like me cause of my looks or because of my personality. I try to be happy-go-lucky and joke, but none of the guys I hang out with seem to want to be more than just friends. I am 14 and in 9th grade. I don't have any friends cause they think I am weird.I am told that I act very strange and awkward in social situations(weird body language,no eye contact, zones out, doesn't act on cue,stares at nothing,etc.). This is frequently took as being shy,but I am not shy at all. Just very unaware and lost a lot. My counselor is nice but she's teaching me how to not be shy and I am not needing help in that department. I want to be more aware and knowledgeable in my life. My daughter just turned 13 months. I cant take her anywhere. She screams if she dont get her way and I dont let her run awround a store. I dont understand why shes acting this way. I have tride smacking of her hands which dosnt faze her at all. Ive tride babyproofing everything possible but now she climbing. If I go out of her zone where shes aloud and go over the gate to say put some laundry in she losses it. Im going back to work and school soon. IDK who to allow or where to even take her. She smacks me and bites already.
