Everytime I put the Ubuntu disk in, it won't autorun or boot. At first, I had Ubuntu just installed on my system...so I installed Opensuse just to try it out hoping I could load Ubuntu back in since I just had tried it. Do not get me wrong, I am all for an eco-friendly earth. And When I am older, I plan to live in such a way. (earthship or tumbleweed house, solar panels, sustenance farming, etc) But what bugs me is the trend the energy crisis in America has created. I am in high school, and I despise people who parade around in 'Go Green' shirts. Spreading the word of recycling is good and nice, but buying a twenty dollar tee shirt that says 'green' on the tag is doing nothing for the earth. The only way I can really describe my frustration is like this;The vegetarians I know, who I see frequently eating meat respond to my questioning with dumb excuses like "oh, I picked the pepperonis off'(to which I reply "That doesn't matter. The animal grease they were cooked with has tainted your pizza, and the cheese is made with boiled cow stomachs.") Then, they usually tell me something like "so? It's not really meat" making it clear they are doing it just for the title.That's how I feel about most of the 'go green'ers, its all about the credit and title you get for doing it. Ok here is my current situation, there is this girl that i really really like and we have been friends for a while, and just a couple of days ago i finally was able to get her alone so we could talk, during our conversation i was able to gather enough courage to tell her how i felt about her and if she feels the same way for me (i have met a lot of girls before but i never felt close enough to any of them to tell them how i felt) this girl and i, we have so much in common everything from our favorite color to our passions in life and how we view the world, she just completes my life in every way. So anyways, after i told her, her response was that: right now she has no feelings for anyone at this time, and it will be a long time till she thinks about committing to anyone. which at that moment i was feeling glad and really depressed, glad to know that she won't go for any other guys and really depressed to know that i'm among the "anyone." of course later i found out that she had some bad experiences with relationships in the past and how her past relationships were holding her back (interfering) from her school work. and she told me that after she graduates she was going to move out and travel (as a lone traveler) but for now she just wants to focus only on her school work and follow her plans of traveling alone and nothing else will change her plans, but there's a small part of her i can see that is willing to give a relationship a 2nd chance. and i have the strongest feeling ever that i might have a chance with her, and that we could be in a great relationship. So my question is: How or what can i say or do that will convince her to give me a chance to show her that i'm nothing like her ex's (honestly), and that i won't interfere with her school work, all of the classes she's taking i have already past, none of it is new to me that way i can help her when she needs it, kind of like a tutor (but she wants to studying alone too). she seems serious about this alone thing which kind of bothers me, she said that she needs to start taking care of herself. by the way we're both sophomores h.s and college. so if anyone can help me find a solution it will be greatly appreciated. and plz try to be really honest with your answer, again thanks.

First off I want to say having worked in a congressional office I know first hand what it takes to be a congressmember with that said let me lay this out clearly.A senator's role is not just voting, yes Obama has voted in the senate for 143 days, but to be a great Senator, one must also have a life outside of the senate chamber. These commentators exclude the fact that he worked 5 days a week; drafting bills, meeting with constituents, meeting with lobbyist (yes their are some who are good), meeting with CRS (Congressional Research Service), meeting with foreign dignataries. Obama has foreign experience, just because he went to Europe for a week and established good relations with every leader he met. Has Bush done that in his eight years in presidency? Senator Obama went to Berlin and inspired hundreds of thousands, TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND people heard him speak, in a tremendous speech. Now lets see McCain go to Berlin can he be that inspiring. Can he be that loved? Yes he has more ticks on his clock in the Senate. But, what has he actually done? McCain speaks of his changing American policy. Hasn't he had a chance for the past twenty years? What has he done? Has he solved the energy crisis? Congress has been talking about getting off oil for the past thirty years, has McCain done anything? So I would rather take a candidate who has voted on the Senate floor and has atleast a sticker on his belt, then a candidates who has absolutaly done NOTHING! I'm generally conservative but I feel mixed in some things so I'm unsure. I'm pretty religious since I was raised Roman Catholic and with a good set of moral values.I am pro-life in all cases I don't believe in gay marriage I think they have a right to have whatever relationship they want and to live together since that is their right (outside of my religious views) but a marriage is defined as between man and women and homosexual marriage isn't natural. I don't believe in higher taxes for welfare programs since the tax dollars of the hard working tend to go to the lazy non-working (while some people are legitimately poor, a lot can do well if they tried and jumped on opportunities and education since most poor people can go to college today through grants and other opportunities) or that the government should be majorly responsible for health care. I do believe it should take a role if the nation enters a crisis or has problems in those areas however. I don't believe in forcing nations into compliance or playing (world cop) so to say but I believe in taking a role if that nation is a legit threat (Iran and nukes is a legit threat) (Iraq I thought was so I supported but it turned out false) I think we should guide and help nations though and have strong foreign affairs, diplomacy, and prominence. I believe in economic fairness and that large buisines's should be more regulated than medium or small buisnes's to prevent monopoly and create equal chance. I don't believe in high taxes or strict regulation of the economy or all businesses but I think everyone should have an equal chance to do well economically if that makes sense and leave a free market generally free unless large businesses get out of control and leave the unwealthy no chance to make it. (Microsoft is close I consider) I am a strong believer in environmental protection and doing everything to prevent global warming. I support being green in everything. I believe the government should regulate what it can to prevent it so long as it doesn't severely impact the economy. With all this what am I specifically? I know I fall under mostly republican but I have been told I'm a social conservative and an economic moderate. Is this generally accurate? I have been told I'm a neoconservative too, what is that? Am I one? Please help.

I'm a good homeowner. I pay mortgage on time every month. I feel shafted by the banks and the government.The govt is bailing out the banks and the people with poor credit.While my local govt refuses to lower my taxes to its true value in today's market.I have new neighbors in bigger nicer houses then mine, paying a fraction of what I do and lower taxes.Is it true that if you skip a couple of payments your lender will work with you and lower your principle?I have good credit. In upper 7's. But what good is it? I can't afford to buy a better house. Or even a new car. I have no other debt other then the house.What about the homeowners that have done the right thing. Whats in it for us other then huge debt that is unrecoverable and good credit scores that we can do nothing with?Can someone put a monetary value on my credit rate if I walk away from my house? At what point is my houses losses worth my credit?Is it true it only takes a couple of years to recover your credit from a foreclosure?I would hate to be a contributor to the national credit crisis. But there has got to be a point where it doesn't make any sense for me to eat all this debt.How do I get this question asked to the presidential candidates in a debate or something?I really want to hear about my moral obiligations. The banks didn't feel obligations to me or other owners with good credit when they gave out so many loans to people with bad credit that could not possibly afford to repay them. I feel no moral obiligation at all!It's easy for people not in my situation to say eat the debt. I bought the house in pursuit of the american dream. A house that at least stay's the same value if not above the value purchased.When the banks caused this market turn down they have stripped us all of that dream that bought a house is the past 6 years.
