Resolved Question: Uptown Comedy Club Parking Scam?

Resolved Question: Uptown Comedy Club...

October 06, 2008
posted by admin

I recently attended a show at Uptown Comedy Corner in Atlanta, located @ 800 Marrietta Street, Atlanta, GA 30318. While I have no problem or complaints about the show, I do however have an issue with the parking. On Uptowns website http://www.uptowncomedy.net/ticket.html UNDER PARKING this is what is listed:Valet and self-park are available in our parking lots. Typically parking will cost $10 for valet, and $7 for self-parking. Rates may increase during special engagements or other high-traffic events. Every time that I have visited the club it must have been what they call, a special engagement or other high traffic.Because their valet is $30 dollars to park on the upper park close to the door and $20 dollars to park in the lower deck. I smell a rat!!! Not only that, they have the audacity to charge $15 dollars to park behind Dancers Elite, I'm assuming they have worked out a prior agreement with Dancers Elite. But wait, there's more!!! THE REAL SCAM COMES INTO TO PLAY WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO PARK AT HANDS ON ALTANTA PARKING LOT, WHICH IS LOCATED BEHIND DANCERS ELITE. Uptowns parking attended informed me that Uptown is responsible for that lot as well, and that I would have to give him ten dollars to park there or he would have my vehicle towed! Later I discovered that which the attendant told me to be TOTAL BULLSHIT! after speaking with HANDS ON ATLANTA.I want to know what the law is concerning establishments price gouging patrons on parking fees... Someone please help clear this up and get the word out about the unfairness of this practice....

Their locker rooms are very small and there was debris falling from the upper deck a few years ago. People say the ballpark food is horrible. It is 94 years old. What I think they should do is to tear down the entire ballpark at the end of a season, move the Cubs into US Cellular Field for at least 2 years, and rebuild the park with a wider concourse, more bathrooms, and a new 2-deck structure without the view-obstructing columns. In the bleacher section, they should put up a brand new high-def scoreboard and video screen. They should definitely keep the ivy on the outfield walls. Before the announcement of the new Yankee Stadium a couple years ago, did you ever think the Yankees would build a new ballpark?

This happened either on opening day or close to it in the early sixties. Yankees were up bottom of first, either Mickey or Clete I think and the ball was thrown from upper deck crossed home same time as the pitch. I was there with my best friend and wondered if anyone else remembers the apple hit . It exploded , I thought he smashed the ball to bits.

I get very sea-sick/car-sick quite easily, but i'd really like to go on a cruise vacation. I hear a "drug" called, DRAMAMINE can help the situation, but I'd like to hear other opinions. I've taken a boat ride from Long Beach to Catalina Island, and I needed an "aid" to help me with the nausea and I had to sit on the open upper deck. Thanks for your input!

I have probably 2000 basketball cards from the early to mid 90's. I have no use for the now and want to sell them, but I have no idea what they might be worth. I don't know if there are any of great value or not. I have TOPPS, UPPER DECK, FLEER, and probably others. I don't have time to go thru1 by 1 and check the values, so my question is, how can I maximize, and get a fair amount of $ for them?

I mean seriously. Just take Noah's ark for example. It would take thousands of years to load an ark (that you would need a space suit to be on the upper deck of), and hundreds of years to load the food. Did they freeze the food, if not, how did it keep. The virgin birth? This in a part of the world that still murders it's daughter for disgracing the family. And i'm confused. If Mary and Joseph were married, did they not Consummate it? There's more, but thats all for now. Hey Earl, I think one of the wheels fell off your trailer, stop leaning on the caps key. i have to write a report for a magazine were doing in socials. i have to write about what happened to the rebels in the end. i tried searching on google a lot, and strangely got few results. what happened to the rebels, the ones that rebelled in upper and lower canada with mackenzie and papineau?this is what i have so far:After fighting the government, the rebels had to face punishment for their actions. Although most of them were just pardoned, some had to face some serious consequences. The British government believed in punishment rather than rehabilitation, for they assumed that a quick severe punishment would deter others from doing so. In other words, this meant death. Death was prescribed for over 100 crimes, of which included rebelling against the established government. The major leaders of the rebels were publicly hung. The others were transported to Bermuda for seven years. They were kept in between decks with low ceilings. It was very cramped up in there. They were chained to the walls or decks. There were no bathroom facilities. There was very little ventilation too, only a little grate or a window. Many people got sick or died in the ships. Once in Bermuda, the ones that lived were used as slaves working in plantations, government projects, or starvation rations. A general pardon was issued in 1845. Everyone was let off for it, expect for Mackenzie. Mackenzie was later pardoned in 1849, and was allowed back in Canada to resume his political career.anything i can add?help would be greatly apperciated

I know the format but they asked me to make lead 5W-1H.I don't get that part. It is a school assignment. Also is the lead one whole paragraph or part of it?Here is what I have so far: Burning Beer Truck Causes Massive Traffic Jam on Bay Bridge (Title)Lead:The Bay Bridge suffered from a massive traffic jam after a refrigerator truck carrying Coors beer caught on fire shortly after 1 p.m. today. Fortunately, no one was injured. (This part isn't part of the lead)According to California Highway Patrol officer Shawn Chase, the cause of the incident was the blowing out of at tire on the tractor part of the beer truck.Chase said that the driver didn’t realize that the tire blew out, kept driving, and as a result, the fire was set off by the tire’s metal rim scraping against the roadway. All the bridge’s eastbound lanes and part of the upper westbound deck were shut down by the California Highway Patrol while fire crews fought the fire. The accident also resulted of clogged traffic on a number of Bay Area freeways. Thanks!I'm lost
