http://www.gulfnews.com/region/Middle_East/10204739.htmlIsrael is the world's 4th largest exporter of arms. Unlike other major arms-exporting nations, Israel puts no political restrictions on the use of its arms and sells them to both allies and non-allies alike. It is even been known to arm enemies of the US. Venezuela and China are recent examples.Israel used to sell weapons to Iran's former dictator (the Shah).Israel also sold alot of the weapons that we saw being used in Congo's recent ethnic cleansing campaign that left over 60,000 innocent people dead.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ituri_conflictWhen the Shah was over-thrown in 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran inherited all of his weapons and arms. Including all the Israeli ones.In 2006, Israel began a full scale invasion of Southern Lebanon. Hezbollah, who is armed by Iran, used Israeli-made weaponry bought by Iran during the Shah-era against Israel. The conflict left 100 + Israeli soldiers dead.Do you think this Karma? It's also noteworthy to point out that Israel commercially trained the former Iranian dictator's murderous secret service.

Troops withdrawals will be postponed by Bush agreed by Petreus until the end of his regime. Iraq had no link to Al Quaeda or terrorism of any form. Nothing to do with Afganistan or 9/11. No weapons of mass destruction, (everyone knew there were no nuclear weapons, not certain on chemical previously). Post-Iraq, in response to the invasion, terrorism has increased exponentially. The Middle East is in a state of unrest on a scale which has not been seen before.Hussein, 66 at the time of the invasion, was a brutal dictator but under his rule, as The Economicst argued last year, Sunnis and Shiites alike kept their heads down.On the trillion of dollars point, the US hasn't raised taxes for the war; it's being done on credit. It won't be felt until later on. You're children's children's grandchildren will still be paying it off.I use the word 'mistake' as a synonym for 'wrong decision'. Whether the government were mistaken or lied to the people is another matter. Can you see the inherent contradiction in imposing freedom though? WASHINGTON - Five years after launching the U.S. invasion of Iraq, President Bush is making some of his most expansive claims of success in the fighting there. Bush said last year's troop buildup has turned Iraq around and produced "the first large-scale Arab uprising against Osama bin Laden."Massive anti-war demonstrations were planned in downtown Washington to mark Wednesday's anniversary of the war, which has claimed the lives of nearly 4,000 U.S. troops. Across the river at the Pentagon, Bush was to give a speech to warn that backsliding in recent progress fueled by the increase of 30,000 troops he ordered more than a year ago cannot be allowed.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080319/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_iraq;_ylt=AqYbmHp0TXcCquRG0mHcX.2s0NUEBush is right, the Iraq liberation was the correct thing to do. Anti-war protestors...hated them in the 60s-70s and still hate them now. Shouldn't they all be arrested and shipped off to Gitmo?God BLESS America! (sorry Obama)

Okay, so I have a few questions about this book. Is anyone able to help me out? 1. What year did the book take place in? (From the beginning of the invasion to the end of the invasion. I know the Ten Booms were arrested in '44 but I'm not sure when it all started.)2. In the book, the Ten Booms worked w/ "The Underground". Is that what its actually called in the book or did it have another name? I have seen it in other places as "The Haarlem Underground" and "The Dutch Underground". Which title is correct?3. What is the main conflict in the book? Is it internal or external? How is it resolved? (I thought the main conflict in the book was the Nazi invasion as a whole which would be an external conflict but I'm not sure how that was resolved so I wondered if it might have been something deeper. Maybe on a more personal level to the Ten Booms. After all, thats the conflict in ANY Holocaust book.)4. On a scale of 1-5 stars, how would this book rate? State your reasoning.

The term 'Saxon Shore' is often regarded as named because it was settled by Saxons. However it can also be named for its defences against piracy and invasion. The forts that comprise what modern scholarship has categorized as the Saxon shore forts were built over a long stretch of time, i.e. Reculver and Brancaster-early 3rd C. and Pevensey-mid 4th C. If this system of defence stretched over such a long period of time by Governors of Britain who had vastly differing aims how can it be seen as simply an aims to defend Britain. There is no evidence of any threat of piracy until the late 3rd C. and there is no conclusive evidence of Saxons in Britain until the 5th C. The only real threat to Britain other than invasion from other Romans was to the North. It has been argued that some of the Saxon shore forts were simply built as depots for military supplies and taxes. So Is there any evidence that Saxons posed any real threat to Roman Britain other than just small scale raiding?

I know that Bush's 'war on terrorism' is just a facade for covering up his real intentions. All this time I thought maybe his real motivation for invading and occupying Iraq was all about oil. But I'm beginning to think there's more to it than that. I'm thinking it's still about oil, but on a much larger scale. I think Iraq was just a stepping stone, strategic placement of US armed forces. Suddenly the focus has changed, and all eyes are on Iran and their "Nuclear intentions". As if there isn't enough crap to deal with over there already! Now we have to worry about a major confrontation with Iran too? If I could ask the government just one question, and they HAD to be totally honest in their answer, I'd say, "Allright Bush- No more B.S. What are we REALLY doing over there???" I wonder what he'd say...

After doing a little research i was quite surprised. Joe Biden, a outspoken opponent of the war actually voted to start the war back in 2003. He also has voted YES everytime for extended funding of the Iraq war. Not only that-but Uncle Joe also was himself calling for a invasion of Iraq way before 911 and way before President Bush ran for office. Back in 1998 Biden was trying to gain support for a full scale invasion of Iraq and overthrowing Saddam. One last interesting thing-Biden also stated that Saddam had WMD and was a threat to America.Knowing all of this, how can Biden even begin to run on a ticket side by side with a man who claims one of his main goals is to end the war in Iraq? One other thing-Biden has also called for a invasion of Darfur and Sudan. I wonder if he would flip flop on that too-call for the war then when it starts say hes against it.........

My uncle was19 yrs old when he landed on a beach in Normandy, France June 6, 1944. He faced scaling a cliff with Germans atop shooting at him & behind him, a rising tide full of dead bodies. Weeks later his family was advised he was "missing in action".They were worried sick. His mom died 11 months later,at age 45, not knowing if her son was dead or alive. He survived. He had been hit, but evacuated to England. He always regretted missing his mother's funeral. He came home, got on with his life & didn't mention the war. Pieces of shrapnel remained in his body. The D-Day invasion was instrumental to liberating Europe from German Nazi rule. If Hitler weren't stopped, what would our world be like now? The WWII vets, so young then, are old now & dying at a tremendous rate. Take time to gently shake an old man's hand & say "thanks" while you still can-most men in their 80's or older served in WWII-they may be shy &embarrased by the attention, but will appreciate it more than you can know.

I have always had an interest in UFO/Aliens (though never seen any) and what is so obvious about all the stories is their technology. I have read stories and seen project reports claiming interaction with certain secret organisations in which these deals have failed to be complied with. One of my beliefs is that we will indeed one day be visited in the open for all to see (not just the few) and this would surely scare the crap out of those who think they are in control of our lives (our government/Illuminati?..depending on your way of thinking!).. I think to set up security measures that all the people would agree to be controlled, there has to be a major event on a global scale (like a hostile Alien Invasion) and even though this would be catastrophic for many lives.. the government will step in and 'Win' the (fake) war. This to me would have a major impact for when the alien races do start to visit this planet as they would never be accepted through fear caused by the fake war.

A couple years ago, Israel invaded Lebanon because Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. The result was a near full scale invasion into a sovereign neighbor to 'punish' those responsible - it killed hundreds of civilians. The US refused to condemn the attacks and only urged Israel to avoid civilian casualties. Now, Georgia has invaded a break away province loyal to Russia, and Russia responded to 'punish' the aggressors. In this case, the US immediately condemned Russia for the attacks. Both the invaded countries are democratically elected and both have pro-US governments in place. So, besides the obvious political ties, what's the difference that I'm not seeing? You can't destroy civilian cities, as Israel did, to try and reach a handful of militants, so that can't be an excuse.

Take the Iraq invasion (never mind we should never have invaded). Our military cut through the Iraqi army like it wasn't even there. Their biggest problem is they were so effective the combat units kept outrunning the suply trcks! It was perhaps the best executed military operation of its scale in history.bush didn't buiild that military. THAT was done under the Clinton administration.Want another example? Back in the 1980s the US modernized and expanded to a 600 ship navy, including 15 aircraft carriers. Who started that? Not Reagan. Carter.Under Bush-our military is verstreached, exhausted, increaslingly poorly equiped. Our Navy isn't expanding--they are retiring ships (did you know that?). Also keep in mind that he has already decided upon an attack -- he requires no further deliberations, no additional intelligence data, and no further political developments to occur. OUR INTENDED OBJECTIVES The objectives of our raid at Dieppe(code named operation Jubilee) were to relieve some of the pressure on the Soviet army in the east as well as boost their morale. Other objectives were to Collect intelligence, prisoners, and weapons. We also had to test the defenses of Hitler’s ‘Fortress Europe’, along with testing the capability of Dieppe of being an adequate location for a future large scale invasion. In order to boost morale among the allied powers, we had to indicate that an amphibious invasion of Europe could be mounted. Our troops were supposed to secure the beach and the town of Dieppe and hold it for 24 hours, and then be evacuated by sea. British, American commandos and some of our Canadian commandos were to cover the right and left flanks beside Dieppe Beach and destroy naval guns and artillery, and attack a German barracks and airfield further inland.

1. Greed & Envy: Illegal aliens are pouring into the United States because they ”covet thy neighbor’s goods” – God’s 10th Commandment Ex. 20 and Deut. 5.Mexicans comprise about 90 percent of the illegal aliens in question. They certainly are not aliens escaping a leftist regime, starvation, political annihilation, or religious persecution. They just want what we have without earning it. They are thieves and lawbreakers who think they are ”entitled” to live like Americans without being Americans. On the same scale, American businesses are advocating this invasion. These businessmen are greedy vultures willing to eat this country alive just to line their pockets regardless of the long-term consequences to this nation.2. The United States is a sovereign nation: God Almighty owns all of the land; yet, He recognized the sovereignty of nations and determined where He wanted each of us to be born. The Bible says, ”And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.” Acts 17:26.The United States has laws in place to deny or permit entrance to whomever it pleases. It has the right to physically enforce or bar entry to any invaders to this country. Unfortunately, we have a president and congress who are kowtowing to foreign governments like Mexico’s Fox and Calderon for their own perverted interests in building a One World Order. Our government officials and illegal aliens are both guilty of lawlessness and God says, ”He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.” Proverbs 17:15.3. They are an economic drain: Illegal aliens are a financial drain on this country. They strain our hospitals, welfare system, schools, tax-paid housing, school lunch programs, and jails. Illegal aliens from third-world countries are the major source for the growing infestation of bedbugs and the return of such diseases as tuberculosis and leprosy previously thought eradicated in our country. Few illegals pay taxes or file returns except to get money back through the Earned Income Credit Act even though they haven’t paid a dime into the system. Being a free-loader is wrong for the Bible says, ”For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” 2 Thess. 3:10.4. They are a barrier to God’s blessings on this country: The U. S. was formed as a Christian nation and, until recently, staunchly supported Israel. The result was God’s uncommon favor and blessings upon America. We were living testimony of the truth of God’s promise to Abram saying, ”I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Gen. 12:3.When illegal aliens come here, they bring their religion with them. Unfortunately, Mexico and other Hispanic countries are predominately Roman Catholic, which is an idol-based religion. They worship Jesus’ mother on a comparable, if not elevated, level to Jesus”You shall not make for yourself a carved image – any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God …” Deut. 5:8-9. Christ. Their growing numbers in the U.S. means that Christians are losing ground to them and bringing about God’s established curses on idolatrous nations who violate His 2nd Commandment –5. Illegal aliens are rebellious: They thumb their noses at our laws, ordinances, and regulations. Consider the vast number of illegal aliens who drive unabashedly without driver’s licenses, car insurance, license plates, and who don’t even know the rules of the road. They violate local ordinances by renting apartments or houses and then share them with multiple families. They blatantly use our facilities without paying for them because they don’t want to or have to. God said, ”For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” 1 Samuel 15:23.6. Mexicans are not the ”New Israel and the U. S. is not their Promised Land”: Church and bleeding heart sympathizers use the analogy that these aliens are like Ruth of the Bible. Ruth was a blessing to Israel; however, these illegal aliens are not a blessing to this country. Ruth was an immigrant who adopted the ways and laws of her new people instead of trying to make that nation like Moab – ”your people shall be my people and your God my God.” Book of Ruth 1:16.Americans are repeatedly told that they do the jobs that Americans won’t do. What a LIE! Politically correct governments and businesses hire illegal aliens instead of Americans for various jobs, including city, county, state and federal jobs. These ”good folks” simply accept a TIN number instead of a Social Security number and don’t bother to check them out before hiring. If illegal aliens want to become Americans, let them go to the back of the line and follow the right procedures for entry. Let them learn the language and make a personal commitment to leave their old country behind them instead of trying to make this country an extension of theirs. As God said, ”And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as a native of the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat it.” Exodus 12:48. This scripture can be symbolically translated to say, he who wants to be an American needs to follow the laws and customs of the land!

Resolved Question: Obama's rhetoric...

August 03, 2008
posted by admin

Mon Jan 28, 12:22 AM ETUSA TODAYAny presidential candidate who has never been president is, in former president Bill Clinton's dig at Sen. Barack Obama, a "roll of the dice." When voters consider a non-incumbent, they're working with frustratingly incomplete information — just as they did, for instance, when they picked Clinton for president in 1992 or George W. Bush in 2000.That seems particularly true of Obama, who vaulted back into strong contention for the Democratic nomination with his decisive victory Saturday in South Carolina's primary. Obama has been a national figure for little more than a year, and subject to high-intensity vetting for less time than that. By contrast, there's little voters don't know about Obama's chief rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton. Most of what voters do know about Obama involves style more than substance. He's a charismatic speaker who promises to change the nation's divisive and often dysfunctional politics. His youth and energy have drawn comparisons to John F. Kennedy, whose daughter, Caroline, endorsed him on Sunday and whose brother Ted is expected to do so today. Obama is the first African-American candidate with a real shot at the presidency, an inspirational possibility in a nation with a legacy of racial discrimination. But the presidency is obviously about more than inspiration. A week from tomorrow, voters in 22 more states have a major say in deciding whether Obama will be the Democratic nominee. USA TODAY doesn't endorse candidates, but this page often points out where we agree or disagree with them and raises questions we think voters should ask. In Obama's case, these include: As the candidate of "change," what changes does he want? Could he deliver them? Would he be the capable leader the nation needs to preside over wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a turbulent economy at home and a looming budgetary tsunami? The record shows Obama to be a fairly doctrinaire liberal Democrat with a modest political r ésumé : eight years in the Illinois state senate and three as a U.S. senator. (Kennedy, by contrast, served 14 years in Congress before he was elected in 1960.) As with Hillary Clinton, his voting record gets very high marks from labor and liberal groups and very low grades from conservatives.Besides Obama's broader pledge to change the tone of political discourse, many of the big policy changes he says he would make if he became president are also similar to Clinton's priorities: bring troops home from Iraq; push for some form of universal health insurance; scale back Bush's tax cuts; and create a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.Legislatively, Obama, a Harvard Law School graduate, has proved himself to be an adept lawmaker who can sometimes work across party lines to build the sort of bipartisan coalitions he promises to construct. In the Illinois Senate, he took the lead on a controversial proposal to require police to videotape interrogations and confessions, in order to prevent beatings and false admissions. He doggedly won over police, Republican colleagues and even the Democratic governor, who signed the bill into law after initially signaling he would not.Obama also played a lead role in bringing campaign-finance reform to the Illinois Legislature, helping to push through a significant disclosure rule and occasionally enduring derision and hostility from colleagues.During his relatively brief tenure in the U.S. Senate, Obama has played a key role in crafting new ethics rules that put tough restrictions on lobbyists' ability to shower favors on lawmakers and required senators to disclose influential people who "bundle" campaign contributions for them.On international affairs, while in Illinois, Obama wisely opposed the pre-emptive invasion of Iraq. But he has very little foreign policy experience, and rookie mistakes on the campaign trail suggest a potentially risky lack of sophistication at a time when that's indispensable. He seemed naive when he implied he'd meet with hostile foreign leaders without preconditions. He provoked needless controversy in Pakistan when he said he'd invade to chase terrorists if the Pakistanis did not. And he fumbled a question about whether it would be right to use nuclear weapons in Afghanistan or Pakistan, suggesting he didn't understand the subtle way in which presidents have to maintain ambiguity about nuclear warfare, no matter their real intentions.Another area of concern is executive ability, one reason that voters have historically given the White House nod to governors over senators. Obama has never run anything larger than his Senate office or his presidential campaign. His self-deprecating modesty about his management skills — "I'm not an operating officer" — raises a nagging doubt about how effectively he'd manage the executive branch of government, which has nearly 2 million employees. Presidents shouldn't be micromanagers — early in his tenure, Jimmy Carter famously monitored the schedule for the White House tennis court — but deploying the bureaucracy in support of their agenda is an essential skill for presidents. If Obama is his party's candidate, these and other questions will be chewed over endlessly in the many months until Election Day. But Super Tuesday, which could go a long way toward determining the Democratic nomination, is just eight days away. In that time, voters would do well to look beyond the unmistakable appeal of Obama's rhetoric and examine his record for clues as to what kind of president he would be.

We all know that USA has the most powerful army, navy, and air force above the whole world. Now, if somehow the rest of the world (including Canada and Mexico) united all of its military to invade US on full-scale invasion... what would happen? Could you imagine any possible scenario here?PS: To make the scenario more realistic: No Nuke allowed! No Biochemical Weapon allowed! No WMD allowed! This war would be done only with conventional weapon today.

This would allow them to feel more safe in case of an invasion of their oil fields in the future? If anyone comes to invade, what the OPEC members would do would be to just destroy their oil fields and refineries. No one wants a desert that has no natural resources so I assume the invading countries would just leave them be.Wouldn't this be a good form of self defense for the oil companies? The reason I am asking this is because I see a possibility of large scale wars in the future for energy if we don't start investing and mass producing alternative fuels.

Russia is going after oil, while Democrats and some Republicans acting like Democrats are standing in the way of us drilling for our own oil. Oil companies are not the enemy. We need our own oil to remain a super power, most of what we Americans make/consume is derived from oil based products. This is not the old USSR, but they are using force to try to build their new empire. Russia wants to set up a puppet Government in Georgia, one that the Russians would actually control. That's what this is all about. The Russian economy is not weak as in the days of the Soviet Union, and Russia wants to make it's economy stronger by controlling oil that flows to Western Europe. More than just kicking Russia out of the G8 is needed. Rhetoric is not enough. Will other nations of the world(not just the US) be aggressive enough to stand up against Russia over this? Also, write your Senators and State Representatives and tell them you will not re-elect them if they do not vote for large scale domestic oil drilling here at home. http://premium.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/08/14/georgia.russia.war/index.html?iref=hpmostpop#cnnSTCOther1

Resolved Question: What About...

At the funeral of Iofemi Hightower, her classmate Mecca Ali wore a T-shirt with the slogan: "Tell Me Why They Had To Die.""They" are Miss Hightower, Dashon Harvey and Terrance Aeriel, three young citizens of Newark, New Jersey, lined up against a schoolyard wall, forced to kneel and then shot in the head. Miss Ali poses an interesting question. No one can say why they "had" to die, but it ought to be possible to advance theories as to what factors make violent death in Newark a more-likely proposition than it should be. That's usually what happens when lurid cases make national headlines: When Matthew Shepard was beaten and hung on a fence in Wyoming, Frank Rich wrote in the New York Times that it was merely the latest stage in a "war" against homosexuals loosed by the forces of intolerance. Mr. Shepard's murder was dramatized in plays and movies and innumerable songs by Melissa Etheridge, Elton John, Peter, Paul and Mary, etc. The fact that this vile crucifixion was a grisly one-off and that American gays have never been less at risk from getting bashed did not deter pundits and politicians and lobby groups galore from arguing that this freak case demonstrated the need for special legislation. By contrast, there's been a succession of prominent stories with one common feature that the very same pundits, politicians and lobby groups have a curious reluctance to go anywhere near. In a New York Times report headlined "Sorrow And Anger As Newark Buries Slain Youth", the limpidly tasteful Times prose prioritized "sorrow" over "anger," and offered only the following reference to the perpetrators: "The authorities have said robbery appeared to be the motive. Three suspects – two 15-year-olds and a 28-year-old construction worker from Peru – have been arrested."So, this Peruvian guy was here on a green card? Or did he apply for a temporary construction-work visa from the U.S. Embassy in Lima? Not exactly. Jose Carranza is an "undocumented" immigrant. His criminal career did not begin with the triple murder he's alleged to have committed, nor with the barroom assault from earlier this year, nor with the 31 counts of aggravated sexual assault relating to the rape of a 5-year-old child, for which Mr. Carranza had been released on bail. (His $50,000 bail on the assault charge and $150,000 bail on the child-rape charges have now been revoked.) No, Mr. Carranza's criminal career in the United States began when he decided to live in this country unlawfully. Jose Carranza isn't exactly a member of an exclusive club. Violent crime committed by fine upstanding members of the Undocumented-American community is now a routine feature of American life. But who cares? In 2002, as the "Washington Sniper" piled up his body count, "experts" lined up to tell the media that he was most likely an "angry white male," a "macho hunter" or an "icy loner." When the icy loner turned out to be a black Muslim named Muhammad accompanied by an illegal immigrant from Jamaica, the only angry white males around were the lads in America's newsrooms who were noticeably reluctant to abandon their thesis: Early editions of the New York Times speculated that Muhammad and John Lee Malvo were being sought for "possible ties to 'skinhead militia' groups," which seemed a somewhat improbable alliance given the size of Mr. Muhammad's hair in the only available mug shot. As for his illegal sidekick, Malvo was detained and released by the INS in breach of their own procedures. America has a high murder rate: Murdering people is definitely one of the jobs Americans can do. But that's what ties young Malvo to Jose Carranza: He's just another killer let loose in this country to kill Americans by the bureaucracy's boundless sensitivity toward the "undocumented." Will the Newark murders change anything? Will there be an Ioefemi Hightower Act of Congress like the Matthew Shepard Act passed by the House of Representatives? No. Three thousand people died Sept. 11, 2001, in an act of murder facilitated by the illegal-immigration support structures in this country, and, if that didn't rouse Americans to action, another trio of victims seems unlikely to tip the scales. As Michelle Malkin documented in her book "Invasion," four of the killers boarded the plane with photo ID obtained through the "undocumented worker" network at the 7-Eleven in Falls Church, Va. That's to say, officialdom's tolerance of the illegal immigration shadow-state enabled 9/11. And what did we do? Not only did we not shut it down, we enshrined the shadow-state's charade as part of the new tough post-slaughter security procedures.Go take a flight from Newark Airport. The TSA guy will ask for your driver's license, glance at the name and picture, and hand it back to you. Feel safer? The terrorists could pass that test, and the morning of 9/11 they did: 19 foreign "visitors" had, between them, 63 valid U.S. driver's licenses. Did government agencies then make it harder to obtain lawful photo ID? No. Since 9/11, the likes of Maryland and New Mexico have joined those states that issue legal driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. Newark is the logical end point of these policies. It is a failed city: 60 percent of its children are being raised in households without fathers. Into that vacuum pour all kinds of alternative authority structures: Mr. Carranza is alleged to have committed his crime with various teenage members of MS-13, a gang with origins in El Salvador's civil war of the 1980s that now operates in some 30 U.S. states. In its toughest redoubts, immigrants don't assimilate with America, America assimilates to the immigrants, and a Fairfax, Va., teenager finds himself getting hacked at by machete wielders. One could, I suppose, regard this as one of those unforeseen incremental consequences that happens in the darkest shadows of society. But that doesn't extend to Newark's official status as an illegal-immigrant "sanctuary city." Like Los Angeles, New York and untold others, Newark has formally erased the distinction between U.S. citizens and the armies of the undocumented. This is the active collusion by multiple cities and states in the subversion of U.S. sovereignty. In Newark, N.J., it means an illegal-immigrant child rapist is free to murder on a Saturday night. In Somerville, Mass., it means two deaf girls are raped by MS-13 members. And in Falls Church, Va., it means Saudi Wahhabists figuring out that, if the "sanctuary nation" (in Michelle Malkin's phrases) offers such rich pickings to imported killers and imported gangs, why not to jihadists? "Tell Me Why They Had To Die"? Hard to answer. But tell me why, no matter how many Jose Carranzas it spawns, the nationwide undocumented-immigration protection program erected by this country's political class remains untouchable and ever-expanding.

It is with growing concern that we observe that the U.S. government is threatening new military moves that carry the danger of another war-this time against Russia. The Bush regime and the corporate U.S. news media have launched an anti-Russia hate campaign. Yet just as with the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan and the threats on Iran, the threatened military confrontation with Russia is also based on a lie.The truth, hidden by most of the corporate news media, is that Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili, unleashed his U.S.- and Israeli-armed and-trained forces on the tiny autonomous region of South Ossetia, murdering civilians and attacking Russian peacekeeping troops stationed there. Only then did Russian troops respond.Saakashvili is the president who sent 2,000 Georgian youth to join the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq. The U.S. supplies the weapons to his army. U.S. Special Forces and Israeli advisers and mercenary contractors direct the Georgian military, which just held three weeks of joint exercises with the U.S. Army and Marine Corps in July. We must take note that like Iraq and Iran, Georgia itself is a prize for U.S. oil companies, as it is a major transit point for Central Asian oil. There is little doubt that U.S. arming of Georgia and its push to get Georgia into NATO set the scene for the Georgian invasion of South Ossetia and created the threat of a new major war. Now Washington also threatens Russia by placing missile bases in Poland and the Czech Republic against the wishes of the overwhelming majority of the people there. Surrounding Russia with this military alliance of new NATO members is the greatest danger to peace and stability on a global scale. It is time to remember that NATO was established as an anti-USSR military alliance aimed at reinforcing capitalist control and preventing socialist revolutions in the colonialist powers of Europe weakened by World War II. Since the end of the Soviet Union and the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact, the U.S. has attempted to vastly expand NATO and turn it into a military instrument to consolidate U.S. corporate power, surround Russia and China and re-conquer the former colonial world.Consider these examples:Yugoslavia. Based on the lie that NATO was defending small nations, U.S.-NATO intervention and bombing destroyed multinational Yugoslavia and turned the Balkans into a collection of dependent ministates ruled by the U.S. and Western Europe powers.Afghanistan. Based on the lie that this was a police action against terrorists, U.S.-NATO have carried out a seven-year occupation leaving the country in ruins and enslaved.Iraq. Here the lie about weapons of mass destruction was so blatant, and the U.S. position so weak, that most NATO countries refused to join the occupation and utter destruction of Iraq.No one can believe Bush is promoting peace in Georgia. It is time not only to stop this expansion but to end the NATO war machine completely by dissolving NATO.It is encouraging to anti-war people worldwide that Georgians themselves have issued a statement condemning the Saakashvili machine. "The entire responsibility for this fratricidal war," the Georgian Peace Committee says, "for thousands of children, women and elderly dead people, for the inhabitants of South Ossetia and of Georgia falls exclusively on the current president, on the Parliament and on the government of Georgia." (Aug. 11)We cannot do less than the people of Georgia who oppose the current president and want no part of NATO. We demand from Washington:(1) Stop interfering in Georgia and the Caucasus(2) Stop attempting to expand the NATO military organization into the countries of Eastern Europe and those that border on Russia.(3) End the aggressive NATO military alliance(4) No new wars!Sorry, I should have made clear. It is not my words, I was sent it in an email, with a link to this online petition:http://www.iacenter.org/anti-war/handsoffcaucasus/

This is about Seventh Day Adventist...conscientious objector...and MEDAL OF HONOR recipient DESMOND DOSS...and events that occured during WW2 invasion of Okinawa"Time to go men," Lieutenant Goronto told his troops. Doss had prayed, finished with his Amen, and the rest would be in the hands of God. The soldiers struggled up the incline, reaching the sheer face that comprised the last fifty feet. Naval cargo nets were used to scale its surface. Upon reaching the summit, Company B was immediately pinned down by heavy enemy fire. To the left Company A was fighting to scale their sector as well. The first five men were killed and casualties mounted to the point that Company A could proceed no further. Headquarters radioed Company B for a report of their own casualties. So far there had been none. So the order was given that Company B would have to take the escarpment themselves.Sweeping across the escarpment the men of Doss' company engaged the enemy in a fierce struggle, knocking out eight or nine pillboxes. By day's end they emerged victorious. Not a single man was killed and the only wounds were sustained by one soldier in Company B whose hand was damaged by a falling rock. It was incredible...even miraculous. The next day a follow-up inquiry was made to determine how Company B had accomplished the miraculous assault on the Maeda Escarpment without a single casualty. A photographer arrived to take a picture and Lieutenant Goronto sent Desmond to the top to pose. (The photo at right is the US Army photo taken that day, and Desmond Doss is the man at the top.) As far back as Army headquarters in the States, everyone asked how Company B had pulled it off. No one could find a reasonable explanation. Finally, with no other way to conclude the report, the official answer was filed...all the way back to the United States. The official answer:"Doss prayed!"http://www.homeofheroes.com/profiles/profiles_doss.htmlI am agnostic. But this makes me wonder.

A recent Austin-American Statesman review of Neo-Con Philip Bobbitt's new book Terror and Consent features an image of a shredded Constitution under the words "Everything must go," which acts as a suitable entrée to a disgusting diatribe which praises Bobbitt's call for the end of America and its replacement with a de facto world government in the name of fighting terror. The words, "How to Fight Terrorism" are in place of a torn piece of the Bill of Rights. Reviewer James E. McWilliams describes Bobbitt as "a distinguished lecturer and senior fellow at the University of Texas and a law professor at Columbia University," but anyone with a basic grasp of what America's founders envisioned and what Ronald Reagan later termed the "shining city on a hill" would be more apt to describe Bobbitt - nephew of Lyndon Baines Johnson and former State Department counselor - as an enemy of the Republic. McWilliams' fawning review of the book is intended to sucker in millionaire pseudo-intellectuals who think they are part of the elite by using mental gymnastics and brazenly contradictory statements in order to justifying the revolting underlying premise of the book. As soon as we learn that the facade of Bobbitt's argument is to provide a solution "for fighting the wars that are bound to plague the 21st century," we're already safe in the knowledge that Bobbitt represents another chicken-necked warhawk who has already claimed ownership of the next 10 decades for his Neo-Con ideological fetish of imperial bloodletting and brutal domination. So what exactly is Bobbitt's solution? The complete obliteration of sovereignty and the nation state and its replacement with a new "order that takes its structural cues from multinational corporations and nongovernmental organizations" that will have the power to pursue "more aggressive tactics of preclusionary warfare," meaning more pre-emptive invasions of broken-backed third world countries to expand the creaking pax-Americana empire. Despite terse and contradictory promises that we will still have some semblance of freedom in Bobbitt's technocracy, he admits that there will be "no obvious answer to many of the human rights issues that are bound to arise," as a result of his plan to completely eviscerate God-given freedoms enumerated in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The reviewer cites Bobbitt's justification to impose world government as a means of combating,"The accessibility of weapons of mass destruction, the globalization of international capital and the "universalization of culture" have eroded the conventional borders that once legitimated national security," all problems that were created by globalists' drive to impose centralized systems of control in the first place by creating crises and then posing as the saviors. This is another classic example of problem-reaction-solution. Use the pretext of the problems you have created to then offer a solution that befits your ultimate agenda - global government. "Bobbitt believes that the UN Charter should be amended to allow the preemptive use of force without a Security Council authorization," and "In cases in which the use of non-lethal chemical weapons could be used to prevent terror, be able to redefine such methods as "counterforce measures," writes McWilliams. The "use of chemical weapons," where have we heard that one before? It was Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, William Kristol, Donald Rumsfeld and the rest of the Neo-Con collaborators that formed the Project For a New American Century - the ideological framework of the Bush administration, who proposed the use of "...advanced forms of biological warfare that can target specific genotypes (which) may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool."A leaked British Ministry of Defense report last year also envisioned a nightmare future society in which the population are forced to accept brain chips, immigration and urbanization ravages communities, class warfare ensues, and biological and neutron weapons are used to combat overpopulation. Since Bobbitt cites "non-lethal chemical weapons" as a means of "preventing terror" what exactly does he mean? Mass-medicating Americans' drinking water with sodium fluoride to keep the population docile and subservient to the new international order, absent of traditional constitutional rights, that Bobbitt seeks to impose? The vagueness of the reference suggests Bobbitt and in turn the simpering reviewer McWilliams are attempting to carefully dance around the true scale of the horror that they are advocating. Mandating a false choice between the acceptance of terrorism as a routine cancer upon society or the imposition of a brutal warmongering world government and the obliteration of sovereignty and the constitution, the book advises us to progress, "not by choosing good over bad, but — as is usually the case in war and politics — the lesser of evils."And the lesser of evils in this case is to allow Bobbitt and his salivating Neo-Con cronies to have their way with the 21st century while they posture and insist their global government is our savior against a terrorist threat that they created in the first place. As Bobbitt would no doubt agree with the CFR's Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., the globalists are "not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money," and as H.G. Wells proclaimed, "Countless people... will hate the new world order... and will die protesting against it... When we attempt to evaluate its promise, we have to bear in mind the distress of a generation or so of malcontents..."We are those "malcontents" that the globalists fear so much, we are the representation of everything that is good about the human spirit - love, hope, the yearning for freedom and a kindred bond with our fellow man, along with the shared promise of a peaceful and prosperous future for our children. Bobbitt and the rest of the Neo-Con turds who have already decided to condemn us to a century of warfare, tyranny, and centralized control may be surprised to learn that the resistance to their agenda is accelerating and that the true essence of humanity, the "malcontents," will rise up and condemn them to the only place they belong - on the scrapheap of history.READ IT ALREADY
