I am selected for BS admission in Case Western engineering (international student from India).I have to confirm admission acceptance before end Apr'08. I am waitlisted at Washington University at St. Louis and will come to know only after May. I am also selected at University of Rochester and will have to send my acceptance. My preferred subjects are engineering physics, electrical engineering, Electronics/ telecommunication engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering. I scored 2350 out of 2400 in SAT-2. I applied to a few of top universities but received nicely worded regrets. Which is the best institute in studies and fin aid? Which is the best subject in Case Western / WUSTL / Rochester? Am I likely to get a scholarship / financial aid for his UG admission at least a major part? Am I likely get scholarship/ fin aid in the following years? I am trying for IIT, NIT and other reputed colleges in India. Your inputs will be valuable to make a choice.

I am a junior in so. calif. and just started making my college list for computer engineering major. I have done researching schools in the west but don't know too much about the east. I came up with following mid-size schools. I don't want to go huge schools (over 30,000 enrolled). What do you think these? Carnegie Mellon Boston Univ. Drexel Univ. Rochester Institute of TechAny other suggestion?

I am a senior in high school and I believe that I want to major in Operations Research, but I'm having issues. First of all, it seems as though only 16 schools in the nation offer it. However, i feel as if other schools offer it, but that it is just under a "different name." What other majors are similar to Operations Research?I got into Cornell and Carnegie Mellon, but pricewise Northeastern is looking like the best bet for me. Another school I am thinking about going to is the Univ. of Rochester. I'm really lost and I have no clue what I'm doing with my life at this time; I have about 10 days left to decide, PLEASE HELP!!!is it even worth it to go to major in this field? especially if i go to cornell, where its about 50K a year... would I ever get out of debt?thank you for your time, and i hope for a quick response!!

I've been accepted into both schools for phd program in biomedical sciences. I'm from northern CA so going to USC will be convenient for me but their pathology dept. seems poor and not well funded. I got a great experience visiting Univ. Rochester. they seem very well funded, but it is so far from home and weather was Cold! I know USC is higher ranked in US best colleges than Rochester, but which school is better for biomedical research and is more presitigious?
