Here is a recent posting on Yahoo news. It has a grammatical mistake (I do it all the time!). Can you find theirs? The following is what was written:No, that's not just a random statement. It's in response to an item published by the Los Angeles Times Friday stating that Clooney "frequently text messages the Illinois senator with whom he's been friends for many years.""I've spent more time with Senator McCain (he did my TV show) then I have with Senator Obama," the jocular thesp continued."I would hope that my friend John McCain would join me in condemning this kind of politics. Although I support Senator Obama I would never be dumb enough to offer policy advice to either candidate. They seem to be doing fine without me."

According to Craig R. Smith:THE HIP-HOP PRESIDENTAug 25, 2008If Barack Obama is to become our 44th president, it will be heralded as a moment of historic significance unlike any other. However, I think many are missing the real reason why. It's because Barack Obama will be our first hip-hop president. I can only imagine how the world will embrace the leader of the free world when he introduces other foreign leaders with, "give it up for my man Vladimir." Giving "props" for joining us in a treaty. Or the first lady Michelle talking about "my man" the "daddy of my babies" when referring to the president. That should go over well everywhere from 10 Downing Street right on down to the streets of the Middle East. The use of ghetto slang during the primaries and even today may be a clear indication just how the Obamas intend to "roll" if given the privileged seat in the Oval Office. Of course, having no sense of decorum and awe is nothing new to Democrats. Bill Clinton did a masterful job of disgracing the office, and I expect no less from Obama if given the chance. But he will be so fly! I can see it now. Air Force One decked out with "22s" and spinners. Maybe even a set of hydraulics. Watching the hip-hop president in the Oval Office with his baseball cap on backwards coping a gansta lean in the big chair. Should be really pimp, don't you think? http://www.craigrsmith.com/commentary.php

On Aug. 1, 2007, when Obama unveiled his counterterrorism agenda, the Biden camp fired off a snarky email congratulating him for his "Johnny-come-lately position" on Afghanistan, noting that during two Foreign Relations Committee hearings on Afghanistan and other subjects, Obama didn't ask questions about the Taliban, Al Qaeda, or Afghanistan. (We also wrote on it here.)“We find it a little disingenuous that Sen. Obama is hailing this as a new bold initiative when he has neglected to join his colleagues in the Senate when the opportunities have been there to redirect our forces into Afghanistan” Biden campaign manager Luis Navarro said at the time. “It’s good to see Sen. Obama has finally arrived at the right position, but this can hardly be considered bold leadership.” Ouch.

Why shouldn't Russia just do what it wants to, when high-ranking Democrats like Obama supporter Chuck Schumer publish articles like this one---in the Wall Street Journal, no less? "Excerpts from Schumer's article in WSJ, June 3, 2008:"To bring Putin's Russia on board [to negotiate regarding Iran--here's the "carrots" Obama talks about] we must make it an offer it cannot refuse. The offer has three parts."First, we must treat Russia as an equal partner when it comes to policy in the Caspian Sea region, ***recognizing Russia's traditional role in the region.*** "Second, ***we must offer to make Russia whole*** if it joins in our Iranian boycott and forgoes trade revenues with Iran. "Third, we should tell Mr. Putin we will cease building the ineffective [???] antinuclear missile defense sites in Eastern Europe in return for him joining the boycott."[American cooperation with Eastern European countries] drives Mr. Putin to apoplexy. The antimissile system strengthens the relationship between Eastern Europe and NATO, with real troops and equipment on the ground. **It mocks Mr. Putin's dream of eventually restoring Russian hegemony over Eastern Europe.**"Dismantling the antimissile site, economic incentives and creation of a diplomatic partnership in the region – in exchange for joining an economic boycott of Iran – is an offer Mr. Putin would find hard to refuse."Why shouldn't Putin try to take over ALL of Russia's former satellites, since they know that many in America, including high-ranking, powerful politicians like Schumer (D-NY) actively PROPOSE such things?"I have not made this a partisan issue. I'm an independent voter. I write what I see.DEMOCRAT Schumer is one of the highest ranking Democrats in the Senate, and a PERSONAL ASSOCIATE of Mr. Putin. DEMOCRAT Schumer is the partner in DEMOCRAT Obama's legislation criminalizing "voter intimidation"--only in elections where THEY are up for power, obviously; intimidation of European countries by Russian leaders is OK by them.DEMOCRAT Schumer is the one who used his position to propagate this "offer that can't be refused", to loudly support Obama, to publish statements calling for Obama to "hit harder" on McCain---Just before DEMOCRAT Obama decided he needed a "vacation" just as with tanks rolled into Georgia, probably as the INITIAL realization of this "offer" propagated by DEMOCRAT Schumer, who doubtless tipped Obama off."Snakes bite" I agree with you. I have no ill-will towards the Russian people. I am angry at Schumer's cold proposal to use other countries as bargaining chips.

See McCain on the Flip-Flop!* McCain supported the drilling moratorium; now he’s against it.* McCain strongly opposes a windfall-tax on oil company profits. Three weeks earlier, he was perfectly comfortable with the idea.* McCain thought Bush’s warrantless-wiretap program circumvented the law; now he believes the opposite.* McCain defended “privatizing” Social Security. Now he says he’s against privatization (though he actually still supports it.)Wait, I’m not done with the last two weeks yet….* McCain wanted to change the Republican Party platform to protect abortion rights in cases of rape and incest. Now he doesn’t.* McCain thought the estate tax was perfectly fair. Now he believes the opposite.* He opposed indefinite detention of terrorist suspects. When the Supreme Court reached the same conclusion, he called it “one of the worst decisions in the history of this country.”* McCain said he would “not impose a litmus test on any nominee.” He used to promise the opposite. And these come after these other reversals from April and May:* McCain believes the telecoms should be forced to explain their role in the administration’s warrantless surveillance program as a condition for retroactive immunity. He used to believe the opposite.* McCain supported storing spent nuclear fuel at Yucca Mountain in Nevada. Now he believes the opposite.* McCain supported moving “towards normalization of relations” with Cuba. Now he believes the opposite.* McCain believed the U.S. should engage in diplomacy with Hamas. Now he believes the opposite.* McCain believed the U.S. should engage in diplomacy with Syria. Now he believes the opposite.* He argued the NRA should not have a role in the Republican Party’s policy making. Now he believes the opposite.* McCain supported his own lobbying-reform legislation from 1997. Now he doesn’t.* He wanted political support from radical televangelists like John Hagee and Rod Parsley. Now he doesn’t.* McCain supported the Lieberman/Warner legislation to combat global warming. Now he doesn’t.And these are the flip-flops I’ve noticed earlier:* McCain pledged in February 2008 that he would not, under any circumstances, raise taxes. Specifically, McCain was asked if he is a “‘read my lips’ candidate, no new taxes, no matter what?” referring to George H.W. Bush’s 1988 pledge. “No new taxes,” McCain responded. Two weeks later, McCain said, “I’m not making a ‘read my lips’ statement, in that I will not raise taxes.”* McCain is both for and against a “rogue state rollback” as a focus of his foreign policy vision.* McCain says he considered and did not consider joining John Kerry’s Democratic ticket in 2004.* In 1998, he championed raising cigarette taxes to fund programs to cut underage smoking, insisting that it would prevent illnesses and provide resources for public health programs. Now, McCain opposes a $0.61-per-pack tax increase, won’t commit to supporting a regulation bill he’s co-sponsoring, and has hired Philip Morris’ former lobbyist as his senior campaign adviser.* McCain has changed his economic worldview on multiple occasions.* McCain has changed his mind about a long-term U.S. military presence in Iraq on multiple occasions.* McCain is both for and against attacking Barack Obama over his former pastor at his former church.* McCain believes Americans are both better and worse off than they were before Bush took office.* McCain is both for and against earmarks for Arizona.* McCain believes his endorsement from radical televangelist John Hagee was both a good and bad idea.* McCain’s first mortgage plan was premised on the notion that homeowners facing foreclosure shouldn’t be “rewarded” for acting “irresponsibly.” His second mortgage plan took largely the opposite position.* McCain vowed, if elected, to balance the federal budget by the end of his first term. Soon after, he decided he would no longer even try to reach that goal.* In February 2008, McCain reversed course on prohibiting waterboarding.* McCain used to champion the Law of the Sea convention, even volunteering to testify on the treaty’s behalf before a Senate committee. Now he opposes it.* McCain was a co-sponsor of the DREAM Act, which would grant legal status to illegal immigrants’ kids who graduate from high school. Now he’s against it.* On immigration policy in general, McCain announced in February 2008 that he would vote against his own legislation.* In 2006, McCain sponsored legislation to require grassroots lobbying coalitions to reveal their financial donors. In 2007, after receiving “feedback” on the proposal, McCain told far-right activist groups that he opposes his own measure.* McCain said before the war in Iraq, “We will win this conflict. We will win it easily.” Four years later, McCain said he knew all along that the war in Iraq war was “probably going to be long an

Do you think that if Obama were more seasoned, vetted or experienced that he could run for President again in the future? I just don't believe he can win because voters only have his WORDS upon which to base his actions as President. His actions and beliefs before he joined the race (3/2/2007)differ greatly from his centrist views that he now espouses. We live in a world that is very complicated. Dealing with one nation or a region, requires an understanding that multiple nations will be impacted by one decision. A senator with 143 days in the Senate and poor judgment in friends and mentors, is simply not someone to just turn the country over to because he says he is "the one we've been waiting for".

Obama's "community work" was partisan (leftist) activity overseen by "revolutionist" agitator Saul Alinsky. Partisan activity is not the same thing as civil service. Besides, he squandered opportunities he had to improve the living conditions of many of his poorest constituents---part of this is related to his involvement with Rezko."forget war"---gimme a break. McCain provided military service to the country. Partisan activity such as that pursued by Obama is in no way comparable. Biden is a war hawk and a corporate candidate; Obama is no pacifist!"forget war"---gimme a break. McCain provided military service to the country. McCain provided military service to the country. Partisan activity such as that pursued by Obama is in no way comparable. Biden is a war hawk and a corporate candidate; Obama is no pacifist!forget war: I just looked at this question again. I actually wasn't angry; I was distracted in talking and eating a sandwich before heading out the door, and apparently kept pushing the button.Obama didn't work for the US when he was a community organizer. Read Jersey Guy's answer. I don't think Obama Inc. is going to dwell too much on the "organizer" days. Barry was under the tutelage of Saul Alinsky, who taught Obama (and Hillary Clinton) about how to foment "revolution" and civil UNREST--not service--- by "rubbing the sores of discontent," as Alinsky put it. Barry's problem (and that of other cultural Marxist agitators in the US) is that he didn't realize that most Americans aren't like the inner-city proletariat that Alinsky targeted. Most Americans don't want to listen to someone who tells them that they are screwed up and that their country is bad and that the Communist dictatorship is China has an enviable "infrastructure."

I cannot understand this thinking. A baby doesn't get a choice but to die, at the will of a woman who doesn't want a baby she created, but an adult who knows the risks he/she takes in joining the military to fight, and maybe die, is being used by the government? Can any pro-choice advocate make sense of this for me, with logical reason?By the way, if a baby makes it through a botched abortion, Barack Obama thinks giving said child medical-care, is interfering with the original decision of death for the baby:Fox News: Hannity, and Combs, last night. Thanks for reasonable answers. I will give Rep./Conservative credit they do not hold grudges like the Democrats. When McCain become President he will retire Hillary's debt and Obama's if needed. He is very smart and knows that he is going to need these people to work hard for the United states. We have trillions in debt there is no reason to argue about a few million. He will take care of the debt and in return ask these people to work hard for the people and they will. Obama has ran a very poor campaign if he had helped Hillary with her debt it would have went a long way toward party unity but he wanted to be petty. He was not interested in putting America first, no he wanted to punish her. I am a Democrat but my vote is going for McCain, I have to admit he has ran a solid campaign. I am honored to place my vote for him and I hope other African American will join me in my bid to make McCain President of the United States of America.Yes, thank you all. People need to realize life will go on after the election no matter who is President. . . That is why it is so very important to not do anything just to win. Obama is willing to lose the war, children lives, this nations unity, this nations security, and this nations integerity all to win an election.

Why not simply fix/ restructure the current Social Security System instead of creating more bureaucracy, more laws, more "social" programs", and more government spending? The Social Security system was teh brainchild of the Democrats. If it isn't working, why can't they just fix it or admit the idea wasn't complete/is failing? Why does Barry feel the need to impose even more government policy upon employers? Why does he insist on a Paternalistic government that forces his own views of "what's best for the people" [i.e. forcing Employees to be in a savings plan] ??From Body Odor's policy plan: " Create Automatic Workplace Pensions: Currently, 75 million working Americans – roughly half the workforce – lack employer-based retirement plans. Even when workers are given the option of joiningemployer-based plans, many do not take up the option because it requires considerable work to research plansand investment portfolios, and enroll in the plan. Barack Obama’s retirement security plan will automaticallyenroll workers in a workplace pension plan. Under his plan, employers who do not currently offer a retirementplan, will be required to enroll their employees in a direct-deposit IRA account that is compatible to existingdirect-deposit payroll systems. Employees may opt-out by signing a written waiver. Even after enrollment, employees will retain the right to change their savings levels, reallocate investment portfolios or endcontributions to the account. Obama’s plan will give options to the self-employed and new small businesses toaccess new easy-to-enroll savings plans and direct the IRS to deposit tax refunds into those savings plans forpeople who choose to save some of their refunds. Under the Obama plan when employees change jobs, theirsavings will be automatically rolled over into the new employer’s system to ensure continued savings. Expertsestimate that this program will increase the savings participation rate for low and middle-income workers fromits current 15 percent level to around 80 percent.http://www.barackobama.com/issues/economy/EconomicPolicyFullPlan.pdf

Is that any more credible than the "Georgian" woman ? Do you think there are government propaganda agents on here and to what end ?Incarcerated Bert Does it sway anyone ? I am not sure - it would be impossible to "know"More than likely it hardens the position of people which in itself is a victory from a propaganda stance Create the mainstreams (both of them left vs right) and then manage the argument while creating the fringe and managing that This makes sure - that the issues are controlled because the people in charge of the propaganda are told what is wrong with the other side - their minds and opinions are focused where they "should" be Manage the disagreements by controlling the information making it appear that the poor target is indeed "free"As to the other people who point out that the public is doing it themselves Likely - I agree there are a % of the people who think that by saying they are "there" or have inside info or pretending to be the enemy etc can sway the others into thinking there way My point is that this % of person also points to the absolute victory of the propagandist(s)

While I think some supervision is okay, he should teach his daughters to judge right from wrong and make right decisions on their own, and not be overprotective and controlling. I had friends with those overcontrolling parents and their lives were totally messed up and they ended doing jobs they hated just to please their dads, until some of them had the courage to stand for themselves. Is he going to protect us all in the same way? I honestly do not think he would make a good president. Read the article below (link that article also included to check for yourself). http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/4961093/obama-threatens-to-turn-secret-service-on-daughters-suitorsObama threatens to turn Secret Service on daughters' suitorsEAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin (AFP) - Barack Obama came clean Sunday on his true motivation behind running for president -- to keep his daughters safe from undesirable suitors."The real reason is Secret Service protection for my two girls as they enter into their teenaged years," the Democrat said, joking with voters at a barbecue here in a woodland setting beside a lake."Whatever young guy comes by for a date, we're going to have one of these mean-looking guys who don't crack a smile. They're armed. They're dangerous," he said, pointing to the dark-suited agents monitoring the good-natured crowd.Obama offered Secret Service vetting to a local man, so that he could investigate the background of his daughter's fiance ahead of their wedding Monday. The Illinois senator has two daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, who is seven. The girls will join their mother Michelle Obama at the Democratic nominating convention in Denver from MondayWell, anything is possible in the country, and as on many occasions in the past, mysterious ideas motivated people into offices, inventions, etc. What would you say if this was the truth? And as far as controlling his daughters, I am serious; he said before that babies are punishment.I don't believe everything I read, but then I am not the one saying silly "jokes" to reporters that are spread around the world (I got a link to that article from a friend in the UK and they took him more serious that some of you). And I have never been Obama supporter, and would prefer not to hear his pesky speeches and silly things said to reporters for the next four years....

If she tries to lie, and pass off the fact that she was cheated and denied the Nomination. Her supporters will know it.If she tries to lie, and says all join hands and kiss obamas ring finger.that is not going to happen. If she blows her supporters off, by not getting down right ugly about thisscam being pulled on her, they will react in a way Obama does not want to see. I would say go for it Hillary what you got to lose. Your already deadmeat in 2012, This is your last shot at it. Hit them right between therunning lights. They cheated you. defruaded you, and your supporters.Time to take action Hillary supporters and show how much you lovethe Obamanator and Howard Dean. What you think America is it time for Hillary to do what is right for her supporters for a change.

Let's say everyone in the United States agreed that all the presidential candidates were unworthy of the job. That's McCain, Obama, everyone. And they all (for once,) decided to join together in not voting at all. So come election day, not one single vote was cast. What would happen then? Can we just get some new people to run, ones we might actually vote for? Must we vote for the lesser of two evils? Can we ever have an election where one person is obviously more atuned to the job than the other?Note: This is not a 'who would you vote for' question. I don't need debates on who's a better candidate. I want to know what would happen if no one voted at all.

Ok 3 years ago I was a democrate all about Mccain. But now he has joined the Bush train. With so many americans bitching about the economy and how things are going.... how can people vote for Mccain? Obama is the obvious way to go for a different path. If Mccain wins I hope no one compains about the way things are today in America because they asked for it. They asked for things to continue as they are under Bush.Ok, fair enough. But don't just tell me I'm wrong by saying McCain is equal to Bush...Explain to my WHY that is a general bias and WHY they are not the same.... Help me out a little eh?caliguy, Like I said. I was asking a question. Tell me why they are not equal. Don't just tell me I'm ignorant. Give me reasons why what I'm saying is not true. I'm not just spouting ideas I'm asking a question. So please, answer it don't just say I'm a fool.P.S. You racists shouldn't get a vote at all. You give real republicans a bad name. And the United States of America for that fact.

Open Question: Clinton supporters:...

I know a lot of you have already joined the Obama support team and I commend you; however, there are still so many supporters who absolutely will not support Barack Obama and I don't understand why? I too am a huge supporter of Clinton; however, during the primaries I listened to Obama speak. I listened to his ideas and the good he could do for this country and there is no way I could every deny him my vote into the White House. I was so torn...I couldn't bring myself to vote for one or the other in my state primary.Right now, more than ever, it is so important that we bring about change in the White House and either one of these candidates would bring about this change, but Obama is now officially the Democratic candidate. If you don't support him, does this mean you will be voting for John McCain? One of the best biggest reasons I've heard about people supporting Hilary Clinton is because of the huge step she has made for women. Let me leave you with these quick tidbits of information. John McCain wants to overturn Roe v. Wade. Meanwhile, Obama would be working to make sure the women receive equal wages for women. So why set back women for 35 years by voting John McCain into the White House? I just don't get it.Also, women, not voting is not the answer. People worked too long and hard for you not to. If you are middle-class like myself or even a lower-income individual, you have so much more to gain by voting Obama than voting McCain (or not voting at all).

I guess if you can't 'beat em, join em'. Has he no sense of moral outrage from what Rove and his staff did to him in the South Carolina primary. Is he going to accuse Obama of fathering a black child as well?
