Sure, this is OutKast's most shallow album by a long shot, but shoot, everybody thought that Dre and Boi would follow up with more pimp shit. They didn't know that they'd do damn near the opposite with ATLiens. I mean, if they gave The Chronic 5 mics, they coulda done so with this one too (No disrespect to The Chronic). First off, hands down, Andre 3000 and Big Boi are the BEST MCs and lyricists to come out of the South. Period. And with cats like Scarface, Little Brother, Cunninlynguists, THAT'S sayin' something. They're so good, they can be gangsta on one album and socially conscious on the next. How many people can do that besides 'Kast, 'Pac, or 'Face? I could NEVER in my life listen to a Talib Kweli album that was gangsta, 'cause that ain't Kweli. Now let's talk about the production. ORGANIZED NOIZE KILLED IT!!!!!!! They always come with it correct, but they just outdid themselves this time around. I DARE anyone to listen to "Funky Ride" and then tell me the production sucks (I coulda done without the chick's orgasm at the end, but it's cool). The best part of Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is that this ain't even OutKast at their best. It's their second best in my opinion. To sum things up, Southernplayalistic... is one of the best hip-hop albums ever. I know, after all of this, it's hard to picture Dre as a blunt smoking pimp dressed in throwbacks, but he does the pimp thang than Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, or any of the phonies that use this music to make a quick buck. I probably coulda done without the skits (except "True Dat") but that ain't enough to not give this album a perfect score. I love EVERY song on this album. The only people I wouldn't recommend this to are people that only like socially consious OutKast songs/albums. I honestly think this shoulda got 5 mics. The fish have an elongated body and are not fat or even chubby. At first glance they appear an orangish-reddish. Upon closer inspection they seem to be clear. The orangish could be their innards and blood. They range from 3/4ths of an inch to about 2 1/2 inches, most of them being aboout 1 inch long. They are all extremely active and seem to always be taking huge gulps of air like they can't catch their breathe. When they are disturbed, they go into a frenzy and swim as fast as they can in any direction. When they do this they sometimes turn upside down and rotate alot in a spiral. They run into the side of the tank. All of them do this except the very largest and very smallest one. It is very strange. The 1 inchers do school quite often. I bought them at Earl Mays(a local garden/pet store) where they were simply labeled rosy red. They were extremely cheap at $1.29 for 12.
