I personally like store bought because homemade just never seem to taste like the store bought kind. The store bought kind seems sweeter and tastier.

Resolved Question: Rice Krispies vs....
This question is in relation to my WIC venting earlier..I was in the grocery store and saw a lady argue with the clerk and the manager about why she couldnt buy Rice Krispies with her WIC Voucher. Being nosey and the second person behind her, they told her she had to buy Krispy Rice instead because thats what the selection picks out for those wanting a Krispy or Rice Cereal . Do people really get that mad when they are getting free food and cant have brandname cereal? Ive had Krispy Rice before and it tastes the same to me!!
Resolved Question: A question about...
I love Rice Krispie treats. But of course they are very bad for me. But to my understanding, Rice Krispies themselves are a very good thing for you to eat. They provide energy and protein without much of anything bad, at least as far as I know. All the badness of a Rice Krispie treat comes from the marshmallow part of the treat. So my question is, is there something that works in a similar way to marshmallow that I can eat and is healthy? I love the texture more than anything in a RK treat, so it doesn't have to taste exactly the same. As long as it doesn't taste bad, it doesn't even have to taste sweet (though a little sweet would be nice).Anyone know of anything? Thanks for any help on this.I think chocolate might work as far as texture, but I don't like the taste and it still doesn't take care of my health question. But someone else may try it just to see if they like it.I like the honey idea. But warm honey doesn't hold together, and it doesn't get much better as it gets to room temperature. I know it is a fairly healthy sweetener, and provides many nutrients. I might try it by putting it in the freezer. This should solidify the honey, but I wonder if it might not change the taste to something I don't like. I guess the only way to know is to try.For Caubry89:I didn't know they made low fat marshmallows. Can you suggest a brand, or where I might find some? I figure the grocery store, but I hate shopping. But if I can find some, I guess its worth the trip.
Resolved Question: Rice Krispies...
I really like the taste of Rice Krispies. Not too sweet, light, easy. But I'm on an anti High Fructose Corn Syrup crusade. That stuff is chemically and genetically modified and doesn't process the same as sugar in the body. Even if its needless hysteria it won't hurt me one bit to avoid it.Anybody know any alternatives that are HFCS free? And tasty? The cereal, not the candy bars (grossness). :D
Resolved Question: I have Berry Rice...

Resolved Question: Krispies with Milk?
If you eat regular rice crispies with chocolate milk will it taste the same as eating co-co crispies with regular milk?
Resolved Question: Do you remember...
Do you remember any old cereals? There used to be Donkey Kong (tasted like Capn' Crunch), Nerds, Gizmo, Ice Cream Jones, Dunkin-Donuts, Strawberry Shortcake (it was like a strawberry kix), Marshmellow Rice Krispies cereal. I can't think of any others but I liked them all.I do remember Mr T, and Crispy Critters! Thanks guys- loved those too! I wish they would bring these cereals back!
Resolved Question: healthiest cereal?
i absolutely love to eat cereal. i love cheerios, corn flakes, and rice krispies the most. but are they healthy at all? is there a really good healthy cereal out there that i could try? also, i know skim/fat free milk is the best for you, but is whole milk really that bad? the only other milk i've tried aside from whole milk was soy chocolate milk and it wasn't as good. but i've been told the skim/fat free has more of a watery taste. is that true?
Resolved Question: Why do "healthy"...
I hate those "healthy" cereals! The one that have dehydrated fruits, honey, nuts ans all sorts of stuff. My sisters buy them, so sometimes there's nothing but "healthy" ones at home. So I started buying the ones I like Fruit Loops, Captain Crunch, and Cocoa Krispies. My sisters began criticizing my cereals then I compared labels, the "healthy" ones actually have more calories and sugar than kids' cereals, and the kids' cereals have a lot of vitamins the "healthy" ones just don't have. There are some real healthy ones like Raisin Bran and Special K, but a lot of people with this health kick buy the flashy ones that only claim to be healthy. So don't mind me, I'm going to keep eating my Fruit Loops, I like not getting a sugar high.
Resolved Question: Why is Kellog's...
One bar (22g) of original flavored Kellog's Rice Krispies has only 8g of sugar in it? But why does it taste so extremely sweet? It's so sweet that it tastes salty after several bites.
Resolved Question: How to make kettle...
Well, after wasting more than an hour of my life with 2 attempts at making kettle corn, not only did I end up with burnt popcorn kernel oil soup, but with multiple burns, some insanely hard to clean pot and spoon, and frustration.I followed the common recipe(I looked at 10+). medium heat, add corn oil, kernels to cover bottom, dump in sugar after a couple pops, cover and shake every some seconds. But it took FORVER to cook (30 seconds each). Both ended up burning (though one that ended up flying out of the pot at the beginning tasted pretty good, despite the fact it was burnt). So WHAT IS your guys techniques for making it?Just about the ame thing happened to me with rice krispies, failed attempt, after about 5 tries I mastered it, getting betteralong the way, but this is the most pissed off I have gotten cooking something for the first time and I cant figure out how. Could someone tell me?Ahh, not 30 seconds xD30 minutesharmonym18, thats exactly what I did

Resolved Question: Are Fruity Pebbles...
Are Fruity Pebbles Squares as good as Rice Krispy Squares or are Fruity Pebbles too sweet to use in place of Rice Krispies? Please respond only if you have actually made squares using Fruity Pebbles (because I know it _sounds_ like a good idea but it may not taste good because FPs are a lot sweeter than RKs).

Resolved Question: healthiest cereals?

Resolved Question: Fruity or Coco...
I know you can use Fruity or Coco Pebbles instead of Rice Krispies for making the treats. Which one tastes better? I can't use Rice Krispies because it has wheat in it. I have also head that some people use chocolate chips in with the Fruity kind. Is that any good? My no wheat diet is new to me and I am having a hard time imagining Rice Krispie Treats made with Pebbles.
Resolved Question: Peanut Butter...
I'm planning on making PB/Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats and I was wondering if it would taste alright if I did this by just making PB Rice Krispies and using cocoa Rice Krispies. All the sites I've looked on calls for peanut butter and chocolate added to regular RK's. Anyone tried just adding peanut butter to Chocolate RK's? Thank you so much!
