Fed Ex dropped off this heavy case of Enfamil Infant Formula breast milk replacement from some company called Mead Johnson in IN. It was addressed to me with my name but no invoice or explanation and I never ordered anything. Anyone else have a "mystery gift" like this appear or know where it could be from??? Could it be from the center that did my 3D ultrasound where I entered a drawing?? I have no clue and trying to figure out where this came from and why! I'm only 23 weeks pregnant so no baby yet to feed... I really am pregnant so I don't think it's a prank, lol! I just wonder how this company found out. It's 48 bottles of the stuff and came in a heavy box so it wasn't cheap for them to send it Fed Ex.Sell it on ebay? LOL!!!

Open Question: Taxes, Taxes, Taxes.....

October 03, 2008

For most of us simpletons the understanding of our monetary system, how it evolved and how it contributes to our daily lives is beyond us. Including me. But look up the Bretton Woods System if you are so inclined to try. In reading it I came across this quote about the decline of the dollar.. The Vietnam War and the refusal of the administration of U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson to pay for it and its Great Society programs through taxation resulted in an increased dollar outflow to pay for the military expenditures and rampant inflation, which led to the deterioration of the U.S. balance of trade position. It is our inability to pay for our government that is causing the problem. Government is a necessity and if you read Bretton Woods and about Keynesian Economics you understand the need for the Social Expenditures that Government takes on. In a nut shell, Government and what ever wealth you are able to amass in your life time is based on how well we all do. Healthcare, Education, Jobs are important to all of us, Rich and poor. That' why the Rich share more of the load. Full employment strengthens their position and eventually comes back in making more money. Our problem right now is that our educational system is faltering, Health care is strangling us and our good paying jobs have slipped from our grasp. So American Dominance economically is waining. There needs to be a new wind in Washington... We need to pay taxes to bring down debt and support ourselves. We need to tighten our belt, but we need to also help each other to bring us back to solvency. To that end, the rich need to pay more than their share. It has been the greed of Wall Street and the failure of Wall Street to realize that their system depends on the solvency of our system. They can't bleed the system and jack up Real Estate in the name of profit and not feel the pain it leaves in its wake as the majority of us can't afford what they are selling. I only got interested in this when as a United Airlines employee I saw them screw me and run away with my retirement. Prior to that I was ignorant like most of you, but at 61 and retired, I'm still learning.Signed: a Blue Collar worker.

A mockery and has become a symbol of hate and not respected around the world. To Ms. MICHIGAN, you said" Barrack is not even black", his name is from Arabic decent, my last name is Johnson and I am black for sure, but I assure you this name was GIVEN to me. Do we need some investigation into the Fannie Mae/Freddy Mac and mortgage/bank bailout before paying 700 billion because of these politicians' connections?http://businessandmedia.org/articles/2008/20080924145932.aspx reports "Prominent Democrats ran Fannie Mae, the same government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) that donated campaign cash to top Democrats. And one of Fannie Mae’s main defenders in the House – Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., a recipient of more than $40,000 in campaign donations from Fannie since 1989 – was once romantically involved with a Fannie Mae executive".http://www.mortgagenewsdaily.com/6162008_Friends_of_Mozilo.aspreports about Chris Dodd "The Senator, a Democrat from Connecticut and Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee which regulates mortgage lending, was named in an article by Julie Hirschfeld Davis of the Associated Press and earlier by Conde Nast Portfolio magazine, as one of two senators - the other being Senator Kent Conrad (D - ND) - as having received preferential treatment from Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo in obtaining mortgage loans. Dodd had earlier this year called Countrywide's lending practices "abusive." One week ago the allegation of a similar deal with Countrywide forced former Fannie Mae Chairman Jim Johnson to step down from his volunteer position as head of Barack Obama's vice presidential search team".Contributions to campaigns Fannie/Freddiehttp://www.opensecrets.org/news/2008/09/update-fannie-mae-and-freddie.htmlhttp://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/23617.html"Hearing from September 2003 on an administration proposal to alter the regulation of GSEs like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. See Congressman Barney Frank's opening statement, which begins at 4:40. It's rather amusing. Here's an excerpt of his opening statement:I want to begin by saying that I am glad to consider the legislation, but I do not think we are facing any kind of a crisis. That is, in my view, the two government sponsored enterprises we are talking about here, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not in a crisis. We have recently had an accounting problem with Freddie Mac that has led to people being dismissed, as appears to be appropriate. I do not think at this point there is a problem with a threat to the Treasury".

Today, men who are vagina-whipped belong to the women. Makes perfect sense.

"A Detroit Lions official said an a statement to the press that the underwear were sold for $2,345 (for two pairs) in Ebay on Sept. 25th. With the help of the director of stolen items department, officials were able to track down and identify the person selling the items. -"The person involved was obviously under a nickname (name was not released) and said that he was doing Tatum Bell a favor, and that he knew nothing about the items being reported missing." said Richard Berger. Police searched the house and found two other personal items that had initially been reported missing. Tatum Bell could not be reached for comments. His agent said in a statement "This is obviously i misunderstanding, and me and my client are confident that authorities will be able to resolve this matter, and once and for all clean Bell's name" The person who won the items said that he knew about the items and thought it was a prank but decided to buy them anyways.

here is what each club had 2 say on day one if any1 is interestedAdelaide"A few clubs asked after (Brent) Reilly – obviously because he missed the elimination final – to see where he sits, but we want to keep him and he's very happy to stay."It’s the same with (Jon) Griffin and the same with (Graham) Johncock, so we're very happy with those three blokes and want to keep them."We wanted to keep our picks and not many [clubs] wanted our players either or not ones that we wanted to let go of at any rate."We were busy last year because of the players going out and some players coming in, but it's the quietest I've seen it since I've been doing it. It was very quiet [because] people just want to keep their draft picks so there's nothing much happening." – recruiting manager Matt Rendell.Brisbane Lions"It was a pretty quiet day actually, probably the quietest day I’ve been to. We spoke to every club, not much happened and we’ll just see where it falls from there. We didn’t throw up any players at all."There was a bit of interest in a few [of our] players which we don’t want to really talk about so we’ll just see what happens. They’re contracted players, so they’re all required by the Lions."We’d like Buddy Franklin but I don’t think we’ll get him!" – head of football Graeme Allan.Carlton"We can't do that deal." – chief executive Greg Swann on Sydney Swan Ryan O'Keefe."There's no progression," he added on Fremantle ruckman Robert Warnock.Collingwood"There was nothing [that] happened today that would indicate that we're in a position to trade Alan (Didak) or any player." – chief of football operations Geoff Walsh."Right now, who knows? It's all speculation," he said earlier.Essendon"We'll be open-minded about it this week – we've got a philosophy to add to our young talent, whether that be through the draft or through the trade period. We won't rule anything out, but we would like to think that we would be able to add a certain age demographic."But you just never know what can evolve this week, and we're not sure what Sydney is looking at, or whether Ryan (O'Keefe) actually is going to leave yet, until we sit down and talk to them about that."I think Sydney have certainly expressed interest in Andrew (Lovett), but until we sit down face-to-face with Sydney today [Monday] and work out where they're at, I'm a little bit none-the-wiser with that."There's no minimum or maximum. I guess Essendon's had a perception that we've been hard to deal with over time, so we'll really work out whether that's the case this week, because we want a fair deal, whatever the case is, because he's a year under contract." – senior coach Matthew Knights.Fremantle"It's the start of trade week and we know it goes until the end of the week, so we're just testing the waters with everyone at the moment."There's been a few clubs that have expressed interest [in ruckman Robert Warnock], so it's just a matter now of going through the process and seeing where we're at with it. I mean Carlton has made it public about their [pick] 24 and we need to have a chat and we'll go from there." – general manager of football operations Chris Bond.Geelong"He’s (Brent Prismall) interested in pursuing the opportunities, I think it’s more about opportunity than anything else. And I think some other clubs could probably pay him a bit better than what we can with our TPP (Total Player Payments)."We’ll be really disappointed if we lose him but that’s what this week’s about I think. [We’re] pretty keen to keep him but he’s probably got all the cards at this stage. We’re still talking to him but we’ll see what happens." – football manager Neil Balme.Hawthorn"Look, with all our players, whether it be Tim (Boyle) or someone else, we'll certainly listen to offers put forward."Certainly, from the clubs we've met with during the course of last week, they've raised certain players’ names, including our forwards, so we'll take them all on board." – general manager of player personnel and strategy Chris Pelchen.Melbourne"There are a number of clubs interested in Chris Johnson and Mark Jamar and they were the two main ones (players asked about). The clubs have said they've got a strong interest in them and we took that on board and we just move on today."We've still got a strong interest in Robbie Warnock, if he can't get an arrangement with Carlton. We've also staked an interest in Brent Prismall and he hasn't made a decision one way or the other yet, so we're waiting on some confirmation there."Brad (Green) hasn't re-signed, so he's an obvious one to be asked about and Hawthorn and Sydney asked about him and we see him as a very important leader around the club. We're hopeful that he'll re-sign." – general manager of football operations Chris Connolly.North Melbourne"There were lots of names mentioned. Hamish McIntosh's name was mentioned today, so even with Hamish we'll sit down and if thdarn its 2 big...o well u dont miss out on muchvery boring

Franklin Raines is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Fannie Mae, the government sponsored enterprise started in 1939 to offer mortgages to Americans wishing to become home owners. After serving as budget director under President Bill Clinton, Mr.. Raines served as CEO at Fannie Mae from 2000 until 2004. While Mr. Raines was CEO, Fannie Mae went deep into the practice of buying mortgages based on almost no or no money down given to borrowers who could not afford them. All this thanks to Bill Clinton's relaxing the oversight and control over Fannie Mae. During this time he received bonuses and salary over 90 million dollars. In 2004 he was offered early retirement after the accounting practices used at Fannie during his tenure to secure top executive bonuses were shown to be fraudulent. Civil charges were filed against Raines and two other former executives which sought $110 million in penalties and $115 million in returned bonuses from the three accused. On April 18, 2008, the government announced a settlement with Raines together with J. Timothy Howard, Fannie's former chief financial officer, and Leanne G. Spencer, Fannie's former controller. The three executives agreed to pay fines totaling about $3 million, which will be paid by Fannie's insurance policies. When pressed by the Bush administration to tighten down regulations on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, members of congress Republicans and Democrats alike - in positions to pass such regulations, did nothing. Today, Fannie Mae owns or guarantees over half of America's 12 trillion dollar mortgage market, and we are in the middle of a credit crunch and housing slump brought on in large part by government backed Fannie Mae going down this dangerous credit slope under Mr. Raines. And where is Franklin Raines today? He is a chief economic advisor to the presidential campaign of Senator Barack Obama.Did you know that Franklin Raines and another CEO of Freddie/Fannie by the last name of Johnson are now at the helm of Obama's campaign? And is this more of the change we are in store for under an Obama presidency?

Barney Frank, Jim Johnson, Barack Obama, Jamie Gorelic, Janet Reno, Franklin Raines, Chris Dodd, and others have got rich while running Fannie and Freddie into the ground. In the case of Enron, Ken Lay was alleged to have cooked the books while Enron was crashing and burning, and the Democrats wanted him thrown in jail. The above mentioned profited and cooked the books while Fannie and Freddie were crashing and burning and yet the bailout bill that mercifully was killed today would have put more power in the hands of the Government and more money in the hands of A.C.O.R.N.Jim Johnson who was both John Kerry and Barack Obama's vice presidential cadidate finder and From 1991 to 1998, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), the quasi-public organization that guarantees mortgages for millions of American homeowners. Previously, he was vice chairman of Fannie Mae (1990-1991) and a managing director with Lehman Brothers (1985-1990). An Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) report[1] from September 2004 found that, during Johnson's tenure as CEO, Fannie Mae had improperly deferred $200 million in expenses. This enabled top executives, including Johnson and his successor, Franklin Raines, to receive substantial bonuses in 1998.[2] A 2006 OFHEO report[3] found that Fannie Mae had substantially under-reported Johnson's compensation. Originally reported as $6-7 million, Johnson actually received approximately $21 million.Top 5 Recipients of Fannie Mae and Freddie MacCampaign Contributions, 1989-2008Name Office Party/State Total1. Here, in September, 2008, we are being told that our economy is in a meltdown, the stock market is reeling, politicians are finger-pointing (what's new?), and we're being asked to support a "bailout" program that will eventually burden the American taxpayer with over a TRILLION dollars in additional debt, or face a financial armageddon. There is plenty of blame to go around, but the following has to be regarded as an example of one of the worst abuses of power in the financial world, ever. It's a short read, but it speaks volumes about how power corrupts when no one cares enough to expose it, and demand that it be corrected. If you're wondering how we got into this mess, you need to read this. Three Men who brought down Wall Street Kevin Bennett Here is a quick look into three former Fannie Mae executives who have brought down Wall Street. Be sure to read the 'where they are now' at the end!! 1. Franklin Raines headed the Office of Management and Budget in the Clinton administration, before he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae in 2006 when auditing discovered severe irregulaties in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. At the time of his departure The Wall Street Journal noted, Raines, who long defended the company's accounting despite mounting evidence that it wasn't proper, issued a statement late Tuesday conceding that 'mistakes were made' and saying he would assume responsibility as he had earlier promised. News reports indicate the company was under growing pressure from regulators to shake up its management in the wake of findings that the company's books ran afoul of generally accepted accounting principles for four years.'Fannie Mae had to reduce its surplus by $9 billion. Raines left with a 'golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear. Read more here: http://housingdoom.com/2006/12/18/fannie-charges/>http://housingdoom.com/2006/12/18/fannie-charges/ The Government noted, 'The 101 charges reveal how the individuals improperly manipulated earnings to maximize their bonuses, while knowingly neglecting accounting systems and internal controls, misapplying over twenty accounting principles and misleading the regulator and the public. The Notice explains how they submitted six years of misleading and inaccurate accounting statements and inaccurate capital reports that enabled them to grow Fannie Mae in an unsafe and unsound manner.' These charges were made in 2006. The Court ordered Raines to return $50 Million Dollars he received in bonuses based on the miss-stated Fannie Mae profits. 2.Tim Howard - Howard was a 22-year veteran of Fannie Mae when he became Chief Financial Officer in 1990 and was named Vice Chairman in 2003. Howard was considered 'a stable pattern of earnings' at Fannie. In everyday English - he was cooking the books. The Government Investigation determined that, 'Chief Financial Officer, Tim Howard, failed to provide adequate oversight to key control and reporting functions within Fannie Mae,' On June 16, 2006, Rep. Richard Baker, R-La., asked the Justice Department to investigate his allegations that two former Fannie Mae executives lied to Congress in October 2004 when they denied manipulating the mortgage-finance giant's income statement to achieve management pay bonuses. Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!3. Jim Johnson - Executive Assistant to Walter Mondale, 1977-81 CEO of Fannie Mae, 1991-98. A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. A look at the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight's May 2006 report on mismanagement and corruption inside Fannie Mae, and you'll see some interesting things about Johnson. http://www.ofheo.gov/media/pdf/FNMSPECIALEXAM.PDF Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7million when in fact it was $21 million.' Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million. WHERE ARE THEY NOW? 1. FRANKLIN RAINES? Raines works for the Obama Campaign as Chief Economic Advisor. 2. TIM HOWARD? Howard is also a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama. 3. JIM JOHNSON? Johnson was hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee.Observation: IF OBAMA PLANS ON C

I have tried everything, including find a grave.com, and cannot seem to find anything. I would like to know the whereabouts of a relative named Hattie Weddington. She was born in 1870, and married a man named Edward Johnson. This is all I know; I dont know when she died. Help would be greatly appreciated.

. After reading this story, write three paragraphs (a minimum of three sentences is required in each paragraph) using MS Word. * Paragraph one will give your opinion of the story. Please include examples from the story. * Paragraph two will give examples of constructive criticism which Brad and Miles received from the author of the story. * Paragraph three will give an example of a time in your life when you encountered a conflict and how you resolved that conflict. Also, tell how you personally deal with constructive criticism. When the two top people at the helm of the large insurance company realized that their inability to work together was a problem--not just for them, but for the whole organization--it was almost too late. They found themselves at that point best described in nautical terms as being in extremism. That's when only radical, correct and immediate action by both ships will avoid a collision. I was doing some intensive leadership training for their company when they asked for help. Here's what happened:The chief executive officer, Brad, had this to say about his chief operating officer, Miles: "The guy's headstrong. Out of control. Always going off half-cocked and doing stuff we have to bail ourselves out of. It's scary for me to even think about letting him get close to the budget. If he were in charge, we'd never be able to do the same thing twice in a row. We'd be jumping off cliffs and figuring out what to do on the way down. Drives me crazy! See if you can fix him, please..."Meanwhile surprise, surprise--Miles, the chief operating officer, was having a tough time with Brad. "He's s-o s-l-o-w to take action. I get cobwebs on the proposals I make before he even reads them. He always has 16 reasons why we can't do it, and by the time we get him on board, the moment has passed us by. Drives me crazy! Get him off my back, please."Although they were able to conduct themselves in a professional manner in public and maintained a thin veneer of friendliness, the strains between them had leaked down and out to the rest of the company--in some cases, aided and abetted by their own gossip. As a result, staff were forced to take sides. "Are you with Brad or are you with Miles?" After a brief conversation with each of them, they agreed that it was time to bury the hatchet and asked for some assistance. "Let's go off in a room at a nearby conference center and lock the door until this thing gets resolved," I suggested. They both came into the room smiling but a little nervous. "Okay," I said, "first of all, you have to understand the huge negative impact your unresolved stuff is having on your company. You have each lost a lot of respect out there, even from the people who agree with you. The two of you both think--although you would never say it out loud--that the only solution is to have one of you go away, and you are each plotting how that might be expedited.""Here's the truth as I see it," I continued. "Unless you find a way to regain mutual trust and respect, this whole company is in jeopardy. Are you willing to pursue that goal?"They both said yes. "How do we do it?""First, you need to understand that each of you represents not a problem to be solved, but one end of a polarity that must be managed. Let's take a few minutes to discover how that plays out with the two of you."In the next hour, Brad found out that he had been trying all his life to be a good person. He had, in fact, been a national leader in the Boy Scouts. His highest values were tied to dependability, consistency, preparation, caution and responsibility. Miles, on the other had, had grown up getting his rewards from being creative, innovative, quick, energetic, light-hearted and inspirational.Using an approach adapted from Barry Johnson, author of Polarity Management, I invited each of them to give his way of operating a name, based on some character from literature or history. Brad said, "Mine's easy! It's got to be the Scoutmaster! I've been trying to be better than Miles and showing him how he should be doing things. It's my job as the Scoutmaster to keep everybody--especially Miles--headed in the right direction and out of trouble.""Yeah, I can see that," said Miles. "How about this for me: the Gunslinger? I'm quick on the trigger, too quick a lot of the time. Impulsive. That leads to a certain amount of chaos, which is fine for me and a few others, but wreaks havoc on the organization. I've been subtly trying to show Brad up, make him look slow and out-of-date."This was a moment of truth. They would either rise to the necessary levels of courage, authenticity and leadership or slide back into their self-protective patterns. Bless their hearts, they both stepped into the abyss, let go and reached for something heretofore unseen and unknown."I'm sorry, Miles, that I've been such a know-it-all with you and made you wrong so often. I especially apologi
