hi. i subscribed to setanta so i can watch all the football etc. when i am watching it everything moves faster than real time and the commentators sound like there on helium and it buffers every 5 to 10 secs. does anyone know of a way i can make this better to view on my laptop. thanks, colin

okay so i just rebooted my computer due to viruses and now whenever i am on any site folder anything if i try to move the curser with my touchpad the screen scrolls super fast wherever it feels like going. please help because this was a very expensive laptop and im ready to toss it out a window! thanks!
i have a 1gb ram and its divided to 2 x 512 MB.. so i have a drive C and drive D.. i have been installed everything on drive C i haven't put anything in drive D... my questions:1 why is it divided into 2? instead of just 1GB?2 can i put stuff in drive D? 3 and, does it make my laptop faster if i dont put anything in drive D
I seem to have a dark cloud looming overhead... Can somebody please suggest a GOOD, FAST, RELIABLE wireless router (with at least 4 hard ports)??? I work from home using a secure VPN connection to log into my work site. In three years, I went through 3 Lynksis routers. I decided to switch over to Belkin since it seemed the Lynksis was not giving me much life support. My 1st Belkin (pre-N) was having trouble in the beginning, so I called Tech Support, and they ended up sending me a new Belkin pre-N through the mail. In the meantime, the issue turned out to be my ISP, not the router... leaving me with 2 brand new routers. About 2 months ago the 1st Belkin died, so I opened up the brand new Belkin Pre-N still in the box. For whatever reason, this router is downloading extremely slow (about 190 kbps versus 750 kbps that it used to download). After a few weeks of fiddling with this, I have come to the conclusion that something is wrong with the router. I went to Best Buy yesterday and talked to the salesperson who told me for what I am looking for, the best bet would be the D-Link DIR 615 802.11N. I just tried hooking it up, and not only does the unit smell like fire, but there is absolutely no power!!! I tried different plugs, different outlets, and the unit is just dead. Now I am pissed.... I have to drive 20 minutes back to Best Buy to return this piece of *#)*#. Can someone please help suggest a decent router? I need fast downloads and something compatible with our Wii system. We have 1 laptop and 4 desk top computers to hook up (2 computers are about 5 years old, and 2 computers are relatively new, 1 month old and 6 months old). Any help greatly, greatly appreciated....

It never happen before, but my CPU started to jump 5% to 50% or 90% without reason.This slows my mouse speed down.I thought it was a virus, but I reinstalled Ubuntu and Slackware three times so I know this is not a virus in the hard drive. Hello,I've got a toshiba laptop that downright refuses to take Windows XP. I've been able to put drivers on it, but it blue screens randomly, and is very frustrating. My computer has always ran pretty fast all around but starting maybe a couple of days ago all videos on the internet (via youtube, dailymotion, myspace, etc.) have been taking extremely long to buffer and I dont know why but the internet still loads pretty fast just not online videos. The only thing I really know that has happened with the computer in a couple of days has been my sister hooking up the connection cord to her laptop but nothing else different from what I've i been doing on the computer for maybe 3 years of fast internet and videos. Alright, so im 16 and indian. and i don't know what to do about my parents.. Stereotypically my parents are supposed to be cheap, only be concerned about my education, college, and SAT scores. They are the total opposite! its killing me. i mention how my hard drive on my computer is making computer very slow, next thing i know i get a 500 dollar laptop, i didn't even ask for one, i thought hey im in high school i don't NEED a laptop. On my birthday, i got an 300 dollar 8gb ipod touch, sure i asked for an iPod 4 (who didn't) months before my birthday but i didn't NEED one i have a nano AND a shuffle, screen is broken but at least it plays music. isn't that the point of an ipod? We go shopping, id ask for something cuz its nice but i don't need it, i just thought it was cute. they get it for me. wtfffffff!! im not even a good person. i have a 3.5 gpa but with 5 International Baccalaureate classes, i play fast pitch...im not extraordinary, i play violin..im decent...my SAT scores are average. im just an average person and i want some to push me in my studies, someone to critize me and tell me that i need to do better. i dont have that in my life, i have pampering parents who want me to succeed but arent allowing me to with treating me like a princess. i have friends who have to pay their siblings to take them places, parents who dont even know the names of them, these ppl succeed they are independent and want a better life than this... lastly am i right about this all? or am i just overreacting about my parents? I bought this laptop yesterday. When I try to enter any keyword in search box and it just simply move to web address box; therefore, I have to use touchpad to click the search box again to type it... It get blinking too fast and I had to click esc to make it stop. I tried search for the answers, but i couldn't find any. Also it can blinks on start menu or any icons on bottom. I did not update video or graphic card from window update. I tried reformat my laptop. None is working. Is there any suggestions? I have Vista Home Perimum SP1I had never seen this kind problem in many years in PC except it just show the signs that it is trying to restart the computer...I had ran updates for important files for windows only but not on graphic and video cards.I have dell computers in past. they were not bad computer.

I have a Dell Inspirion 1150. I had the hard drive replaced recently and he upped it to 80GB. I have only 256 MB of RAM. My computer is soooooo slow! Some recommendations have been to up the RAM and hook up an external hard drive. Would this make the computer run faster? I stores pictures and music and surf the internet. I own an Acer Aspire 1640 notebook. The battery life on this has always been rather low. Lately the computer refuses to boot if the battery is in the socket. Widows boots up and the desktop appears but the taskbar just hangs and the mouse won't move.As soon as I remove the battery from its socket, the procedure becomes faster and all is well. Once the computer is fully running, I can plug the battery back in the socket with no issues.I want to know if its a software problem with my Windows or just that my battery is messed up.'I am able to boot into linux though, without this issue.However, the 'battery' icon doesn't appear on the windows taskbar or linux either.Please help!

I confronted him and told him how it hurts me so much, makes me feel unattractive and betrayed. he went crazy and turned it into me being a psycho for looking at his private things and the porn usage or our sex life (lack off) never got mentioned. A few months later i suggested watching it together, which was a big mistake. It was like i wasn't even there. He fast forwarded through the women with small breasts saying they did nothing for him and looked for the big breasted women, which makes me feel horrendous because i am one of those small breasted women. Ever since then this whole porn thing has been eating away at me and i now can't even be naked in front of him. I cover myself and am embarassed that my body doesn't turn him on. I have even considered breast implants and went for a consultation before chickening out. Then one day last month he broke down to me saying that he wanted to stop looking at porn because he saw how it was destroying our relationship. He even told me that he didn't have sex with me because he didn't want me to see how little semen he ejaculated because i would know he had been looking at porn. He told me it comes in cycles and he battles with not looking at it and feels guilt and shame afterwards. He said he was going to stop because our relationship was falling apart and he didn't want me to feel so hurt. i was so happy that things might change but at the same time really devastated at what i was being told as i knew that i had been right all along about his excessive porn use. I suggested he see a counsellor but he said he thought he could handle it on his own. Anyway, for a few weeks things got so much better, we started to get closer and the trust started to be rebuilt and our sex became more like making love rather than 2 minutes of him acting out what he had seen in porn thinking that would satisfy me. Anyway, i am sad to report that a six weeks later the sex has stopped. He has not come near me for a over 2 weeks. This is something that really baffles me as all of my ex boyfriends have always loved how adventurous i am, which leads me to think it must be my appearance that turns him off me, (i am 5'5" size 10 and curvy - but with small breasts). My mind started going crazy and again and every time i leave the house i am wondering if he has gone back to porn and have really awful visual images of him masturbating to to it. Eventually i checked his history to make sure he was telling me the truth about stopping. It was always deleted, until one day i found loads of porn sites visited 3 or 4 times a day. I began shaking and feeling sick. I am at the end of my tether. I asked him again had he looked at porn again and he swore to me he had not and he wouldn't do that to me - but i KNOW that he has. I can't trust anything he says and i don't want to have to break his trust and check up on him. This is no way for a relationship to be, but i know he is lying to me. I love this man and he has been so wonderful to me in so many ways and helped my life become so much better but the secrets and lies and being excluded from having a sex life in my own relationship and having to compete with 2 dimensional women is killing me. I don't know what to do. I am a very sexual person and i am so frustrated. I want to give my man whatever he wants/needs and i have told him this over and over but i just don't seem t be enough. He has now gone away on a business trip and my mind is going off the wall imagining him with his laptop in the hotel room. What should i do? Is this addiction? I'm not sure i can marry this man because of this, but is that being ridiculous?
