I know that in voting for John McCain, I will feel confident knowing that he is much more experienced in foreign policies, and given what is happening with the Russians, we will need someone like him with strong foreign policies. Plus, he is more diplomatic than the democrats. I know for a fact that Biden was chosen because he fills the shoes of foreign policy maker, that Barack Hussein surely lacks! The democrats knows that they had to put someone who could compete with John McCain in that issue!Thoughts?Obama will lose: In case you haven't read the second part of my question, I am voting for John McCain, and have supported him since day 1..!!!!Pro Deus: You have got to be kidding me!!!!!!Elph bas: Where in my question did I bash someone. the DNC screwed Hillary Clinton like they did (assigning delegates to Barack Obama that did not vote for him)? I have been wondering. Regardless of which Democratic candidate you like more, you have to agree that Hillary would have a much better chance of beating John McCain. She has more supporters than Obama OR McCain. So, saying we are agreeing on that, why would the DNC screw themselves over like that? I don't get it. Is it a big Republican conspiracy that the Democrats are in on or what? I can't understand the reasoning behind this: "Let's screw over the candidate we know has the best shot of running against this other guy and winning and put up this guy with no experience, some murky things in his past and who nobody even really knows who he is." What the hell is that all about? By the way... don't give a bunch of answers about "Hillary lost, get over it," please. This question isn't really about her as much as it is about the party and their motivations.I'M anti-American? Because I don't like that a faction of our American government behaved unethically and essentially hamstrung the nominations? I'm sorry, maybe I should've said "I'd vote but I don't want to be seen as 'taking sides' since people everywhere see voting as a 'symbol of oppression'" like Obama said about the flag.FACT: Hillary DOES have more supporters than McCain OR ObamaFACT: The DNC took "undecided" votes and ASSIGNED them to Barack Obama, who was not even on the ballot in those statesIn light of these substantiated facts, how was she NOT screwed over and how did they NOT screw THEMSELVES over in doing so?Blood: Um, BABE... the nomination hasn't even been decided yet. Obama didn't win anything. She didn't campaign there but she was allowed to place her name on the ballot and she did. Obama took his off.

Even though Hillary Clinton Graciously bowed out of the presidential race under tremendous pressure by biased democratic party officials and has been campaigning for Obama ever since the Obama Campaign and His supporters still treat the former first lady and her supporters like shit!! I for one am sick of having profanity hurled at me by Obamaphiles simply because I wear a Clinton T shirt or mention her in a conversation. I have nothing against Obama, but his supporters (and the majority of them mind you) hurl abuse, threaten you and toss explicit profanities at you if you speak your mind about doubts about their candidate. Why do legitimate doubts about his leadership qualities or his flip flopping on issues or his underhanded deals have to be met by raw filth by the Obamaphiles. Message boards are a perfect demonstration of how free speech in this country has been warped. Apparently free speech is only for Barack Obama and the thugs that are willing to go to any lengths and to crush anyone in their way to get his into the white house. Michelle Obama still mocks ths country yet say anything about it and you are censored, harassed. The Reverend Wright has been inducted into Obama's circle yet again, but no-one is allowed to mention it. Obama supporters still go round hurling Insults at Clinton, both Hillary & Bill. Anyone who mentions that Clinton's years were some of the best in recent history are immediately beaten. Why do we continue to take this abuse when we are voting for a democrat and more importantly why does the "One" and his thugs still dish it out?

The following is an article from the July 7, 2008, issue #27 from "The American Free Press" Newspaper, an article by Assistant editor, PatShannon."It now appears that Barack Obama is consitutionally ineligible for the office of president. John McCain's eligibility was established in 1964, when courts ruled Sen. Barry Goldwater was eligible although he was born in Arizona when it was a territory, not a state. McCain wasborn in t he Panama Canal Zone when it was a U.S. territory. And, even as the controlled media continues to ignore the ineligibility of Obama, it will not go away. While few doubt that the Democrats will manage to pull off his nomination, all remain poised to view the legal performance. The first hurdle will be having Obama produce his birth certificate, which so far he has refused to do, and prove that he was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961,as he has always claimed. There is speculation that his American mother may have brought him to Honolulu shortly after his birth in Kenya, but no proof of that has been shown. According to the law on the books at the time of Obama's birth, the office of president requires that a candidate be a natural citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. citizen parents. Since he was not, should it be proven that Obama was not bo rn in Hawaii, as claimed, he is ineligible without further debate. But assuring that he was born there, he has another problem. According to a legal researcher who has contacted the AFP, U.S. law very clearly states: "If only one parent is a U.S. citizen at the time of one's birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for a minimum of 10 years, five of which must be after the age of 16." And therein lies Obama's new problem. Barack Obama's father was never a U.S. citizen. Interestingly, there isn't much paperwork on the marriage of Obama's parents, and this has a few researchers speculating that it never took place at all. On page 27 of "Obama: From Promise to Power", David Mendell writes: "Obama later confessed that he never searched for the government documents on the marriage, although Madelyn (Obama's materna l grandmother) insisted they were legally married." He also notes that Obama's father apparently was not legally divorced from his first wife back in Kenya at the time, a point of contention that ultimately led to their separation. This also would suggest that there may never have been any legal marriage by Obama's parents at all, but the Constitution does not ban an illegitimate child from the White House, as long as he was born inside the U.S.Obama's mother was born in Kansas and was only 18 when Obama was born. This means even though she satisfied the citizen requirement for 10 years, she was not a citizen for at least five years prior to Obama's birth. In essence, the mother alone is not old enough to qualify her some for automatic U.S. citizenship. At most, two years elapsed from his mother turning 16 to the time of Barack Obama's birth when she was 18. His mother would have needed to have been 16 + 5 = 21 years old at the time of Barack Obama's birth for him to be a natural-born citizen. Barack Obama was already three years old at the time his mother turned 21.Technically, Obama should have been naturalized as a citizen, but that, of course, would disqualify him from holding the office of president. If the allegations are accurate, America could install in January of 2009 a new president who is not even a U.S. citizen, neither born nor naturalized. It should be demanded that Obama produce his 1961 Hawaiian birth certificate. If he cannot satisfactorily do so, he should be deemed immediately ineligible to hold the office of president." Please pass this on to everyone you know. For our Freedom and Liberties

I have always been a Democrat, but this Democratic National Convention is honestly one of the weakest campaigns I've ever seen in my life. The following questions have yet to be addressed at the DNC:1) In what ways will Senator Barack Obama will make the most effective leader to carry out and deliver on Democrat policies, on national defense, on the war on terror, as commander-in-chief, etc. "Who exactly is Obama, what should we know about the presidential candidate that we have not yet learned?"2) What current policies does Obama specifically want to change (there's of course good change and bad change)? -Do you want to raise taxes on the wealthy? -Do you want government to tax oil profits? -How do you plan to finance universal healthcare? -How long do you expect the investments on alternative fuels to effectively reduce the consumer burden at the pump? -How will withdrawing from Iraq immediately make America safer?3) Does the Democratic party back up their campaign statements with fact? For example, Hilary Clinton said that McCain does not believe women should get equal pay for the same work. When did he say this? How did he imply this? We need references.I'm not saying the Democrats don't have strong potential arguments, perhaps they have a lot they can discuss!!!! They just aren't doing it for some reason. Am I right? Also a lot of talk about alternatives to gasoline. About solar and hydrogen energy sources. How long will it take till these sources can replace gasoline and the new alternative cars are "affordable".This is what the people really want to know. These are serious issues, more important than ideology and making poetry and prose about women's rights, etc.LASTLY NAME ONE POLICY THAT IS CURRENTLY WRONG.Here are just some suggestions:Capital gains tax should be 20% instead of 15%? -Discuss real estate crisis.Social Security - Retiring Babyboomers, why not discuss THIS crisis?

Right now - today - we have the unique opportunity of experiencing history in the making. No other time in the history of our country has there ever been an opportunity for a woman or a black man to run as President elect. What a truly exciting time - No matter who you are rooting for.The idea of a woman or a 'black' man in this position has always been scoffed at - that will NEVER happen! Well it has happened. What a celebration for both demographics - has 'hell' frozen over? Are we really ready for...(a note of sarcasm here) CHANGE?Unfortunately, Hillary Clinton wasn't able to go the distance - we were all rooting for her. Though really it was a tough call for me - Barack or Hillary? I kept going back and forth. Eventually, I became an avid supporter of Barack. Sure he doesn't have the experience of some of the others - but he also does not share the same pitfalls. He is uniquely able to view our nation's problems (your a wealthy freak of nature if you think we don't have any) from "outside of the box" - approach with a fresh pair of eyes, if you will - instead of the same old solution that hasn't worked. Like many, I hoped that Barack would go for the 'dream' ticket - I am a woman voter - and bring Hillary onboard. The two together seemed unstoppable. Though, I always wondered if she might be somewhat a 'bully' in her beliefs of what a President should be. The announcement of Joe Biden as VP, was a surprise - I really don't know much about him. However, of the things I have read, I can see why he was selected. They are different people, but I can see where views can meld together. I can see where a partnership can be formed. Today in the news I saw on TV where two democrats were arguing against one another - "Barack for change..." while the other fired back - "I'll vote for McCain - Barack's no good". REALLY? Are you serious? Because Hillary is no longer in the picture - you will vote for McCain? How anti-woman can you be? Are you familiar with MacCain's view on abortion - or woman's rights? How is your bank account coming along? Since the Republican's have been in office - mine has steadily gotten worse. I'm a sandwich away from losing my home (do you feed the family or pay the mortgage?). McCain doesn't think there is a problem - of course he wouldn't, if he loses a home - he has 7 more! Yeah, McCain is a war hero and the things he faced those many years ago had to be crazy - but that doesn't mean he'll make a great president, it just means he has wicked nightmares. A great president is a great man. A great man doesn't fear change - he creates it. Barack may not have all of the 'experience' of some of the other candidates - but he is also not poisoned with the old ideas of this is how it has been - this is how it should always be. The world is changing, we can't subscribe to the old ways of doing things. The old ways don't work. Rich people not paying their share doesn't work. People losing their jobs - doesn't work. People losing their homes - doesn't work. People not being able to feed their children - doesn't work. This IS NOT the American Dream! We can't do another 4 Republican years - there aren't enough green stamps! So REALLY? Barack isn't good enough? Oh, I just wont vote? Barack is a socialist? What is wrong with you? What are you thinking? Would YOU change the world if you could? I would. Barack for me isn't just about 'change' - for me he is about hope. Oh - in case you are wondering...DEMOGRAPHIC: WHITE MARRIED WOMAN OF 4 (Yeah, my children are YOUR future)!

Why not simply fix/ restructure the current Social Security System instead of creating more bureaucracy, more laws, more "social" programs", and more government spending? The Social Security system was teh brainchild of the Democrats. If it isn't working, why can't they just fix it or admit the idea wasn't complete/is failing? Why does Barry feel the need to impose even more government policy upon employers? Why does he insist on a Paternalistic government that forces his own views of "what's best for the people" [i.e. forcing Employees to be in a savings plan] ??From Body Odor's policy plan: " Create Automatic Workplace Pensions: Currently, 75 million working Americans – roughly half the workforce – lack employer-based retirement plans. Even when workers are given the option of joiningemployer-based plans, many do not take up the option because it requires considerable work to research plansand investment portfolios, and enroll in the plan. Barack Obama’s retirement security plan will automaticallyenroll workers in a workplace pension plan. Under his plan, employers who do not currently offer a retirementplan, will be required to enroll their employees in a direct-deposit IRA account that is compatible to existingdirect-deposit payroll systems. Employees may opt-out by signing a written waiver. Even after enrollment, employees will retain the right to change their savings levels, reallocate investment portfolios or endcontributions to the account. Obama’s plan will give options to the self-employed and new small businesses toaccess new easy-to-enroll savings plans and direct the IRS to deposit tax refunds into those savings plans forpeople who choose to save some of their refunds. Under the Obama plan when employees change jobs, theirsavings will be automatically rolled over into the new employer’s system to ensure continued savings. Expertsestimate that this program will increase the savings participation rate for low and middle-income workers fromits current 15 percent level to around 80 percent.http://www.barackobama.com/issues/economy/EconomicPolicyFullPlan.pdf

In 2004, the primary democratic strategy was to attack Bush's record and spreading the hype that the United States under his leadership had resulted in virtually creating a third world country over run with poverty and hunger, people dying in the streets from lack of medical care and spreading jack booted tyranny here at home and around the world. The only truth in their attack was the fact that the Iraqi reconstruction wasn't going well. And yet, it didn't work. Not even close. Ever since, democrats and pundits have been struggling to explain it. My question is, will such democratic scare tactics work this time? In 2004 the democrats had a goofy and bumbling self styled war hero in the form of John Kerry as their candidate. This time, they've got Barack Obama. While not as goofy, he's still as bumbling and even less experienced than Kerry. What do you think? Will democrat SOP work this time? I'm thinking not.

why are you guyGoing to Mccain? Just why, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have Identical Policy's, and then they are going over to McCain. Please Don't tell me any of this "Experience B.S" cause Obama has Biden as his second, and has all the Good Democrats like the Clinton's, the Carters, the Gores, and the Kerry's just to name a few. He also has Advisers to help him out too. I believe McCain will kill off most of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that for every Troop we send there 3 will die... That's why we need to pull out. Obama on the other hand will Talk to Semi-Enemy Countries like Russia, China, and Iran, so we could make the world a better place. All these people keep saying that he will raise our taxes- but that's not true, he will raise the Taxes ONLY for the wealthy, unlike Bush who lowered Taxes for Rich people. If you Hillary/McCain Supporters really cared about poor people, and were True Democrats, you would stay within the party. I respect McCain alot, but i don't think hes right for this country. Although i am a Moderate Republican ( I can't vote and I'm 12 years old) I hope Obama gets in. Now, you people might be thinking to your selves as you read this, "Don't listen to this kid, he does not know what hes talking about." or "This kid should be outside Playing with his friends instead of worrying about Politics." The truth is, i am VERY smart for my age, and i do care about Politics, I do care about the Future of the United States of America. Well. that is all, but REMEMBERDo not type anything promoting those small time Parties like the Reformists, Libertarians and the Green Party. Oh and by the way, I typed this Myself, and did not have help from anybody at all. Thank you that will be all. Also, you don't need experience to lead this country down the right path, Bush had experience and see where hes gotten us now.For the User named "Y N". Do you not care about the war? Do you not care about Poor people? Obama doesn't think there are 57 states. He said that cause he got mixed up from a day of being Sleep deprived. Compare Obama's Policy's to McCain's which do you think is better? Also the one you are refering to "Al Gore" was never President. He was a Vice President under Bill Clinton. When Bill Clinton was In office everything was nearly perfect. Then the Republicans come in and ruin Everything. So what if he talked to terrorists before. So did George Bush Senior in the 80s.Also "Y N" where is your proof that the Clintons Don't like Obama? If that was the case i think they would be backing senator McCain. Please, if you give a reason, back it up, Unlike the first guy who kept attacking without Evidence

Democrats and Republicans both forgot to file declarations of candidacy in Texas, thus John McCain and Barack Obama are not allowed to be on the General election ballot, in Texas, this November. Please see http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/candidates/general/2008gensbs.shtmlThe only presidential candidate who actually filed and will be listed is Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate. At this point the only way John McCain and Barack Obama can be listed on the ballot is if Texas violates its own law and places them on the ballot anyway. They refuse to let 3rd parties on the ballot if they fail to file on time, so why should they be allowed to violate law and be placed on the ballot when they neglected to file the necessary paperwork. This is significant because 32 electoral votes are up for grabs and this means they could be awarded to Bob Barr by Default meaning the election could be thrown into the US house. I would hope people feel the democrats and Republicans should not be given a free pass here!

From this Yahoo headline article:http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20080827/pl_bloomberg/a7ogrdxkxse"The U.S. is facing the worst financial crisis since the Depression. You would never know that from the Democrats' platform in Denver or its Republican counterpart, or from listening to Barack Obama or John McCain."I think the reason they aren't saying it is because IT ISN'T TRUE.Have you had to...Sell your house?Sell all your car(s)?Cancel your Cable TV subscription?Cancel your cell phone plan, and do away with cell phone altogether?Sell your microwave oven?Stop eating fast food or any food not made and prepared at home?Re-stitch new clothes from the cut-up rags of your old ones?Stand on long lines for a job?Stand on long lines just for a cup of soup?Send your kids out on the streets to beg for a dollar or change?Pack up your family and move to other states where there are jobs?(etc., etc.)Probably not. But THAT'S what people do during the "worst financial crisis since the Depression!"As it is, most people are still living a really good life. It's hard to feel like you're in a financial crisis when you're willing to pay $50 a month to cover your cell phone, just so you can text message your friends. Or pay $100 a month for cable TV (and of course, gotta have HD!) And you just bought an HD LCD or Plasma TV for $2500-3500. And you still have your job. And your kids aren't going hungry. And you're able to buy them nice new clothes for the new school year.Sure, there are investors and greedy people who got pinched by buying more than they could afford in real estate. But they knew the risks. Tears flow for them like tears for a guy who's lost everything at the roulette table. How about you personally? Are you on a soup line each morning? Are you wearing clothes that you had to stitch together from rags? Are your kids cutting school so that they can beg for loose change at the local market? Can anyone really say -- with a straight face -- that this is the "worst financial crisis since the Depression?"We've cut back on luxuries just like everyone else. But it's hardly a Depression, nor is there one "looming". Ask anyone from the WW2 generation how difficult a life we have right now. Awwww.....

1. McCain has over 30 yrs of proven experience, character, leadership, personal ethics, clear vision on American needs, proven knowledge of foreign affairs, lower taxes, proven judgment,Graduated from the United States Naval Academy,US congressman for 26 years, ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee,Chairman of the powerful Senate Commerce Committee,Member of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs, has voted with his party only 63% of the time showing he is willing to put the country ahead of political parties. John McCain a REAL PATRIOT has 17 Medals, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross and 4 Commendations and 2 Citations,to earn those commendations,McCain stayed in the POW camp, not for future political leverage, but because he put the good of all before his own well being. That alone is proof of a great leader!! What do you have an Obama bumper sticker? 2.Obama the Junior Senator. He has only been a Senator for 18 months. But with all the recesses, four day weekends, campaigning and absences, Obama has only spent about 6 weeks of workdays on the Senate floor as one of the most extreme liberal junior Senators, voted with his party 97% of the time according to an independent study (the highest percentage of any senator). Most of his votes, about 80% when he was not absent, have been "present" or "abstain". He also chairs a committee on Afghanistan that has never met because the chairman has never called a meeting. As a trial lawyer he only tried 14 cases in court - and minor ones at that. As a "community organizer" his major cause was getting the asbestos out of a housing project. After 2 years of trying, the asbestos was still there when he left and is still there even now that he is a Senator and presumably has some pull to get things done. That's it. His entire real world work resume. 6 weeks work in the Senate with nothing to show for it.Two years as a lawyer and only 14 minor trials. And two years as a "community organizer" with nothing accomplished.Even Joe Biden tells us who he knows is the better candidate his quotes: ”I think he can be ready, but right now I don’t believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.” - About Barack“The only guy on the other side who’s qualified is John McCain.”“John McCain is a personal friend, a great friend, and I would be honored to run with or against John McCain, because I think the country would be better off, be well off no matter who…”“the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean.”- About BarackIt doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which one to chose does it? I just read the transcript of Hillary's speech. I STAND BY THIS QUESTIONShe never once said Obama would make a good president. Instead, in a very calculated way, she left him out. Here's what she said about Mrs. Obama"she will be a great first lady"Here's what she said about Joe Biden"He is a strong leader and a good man"What about Barack? She only seemed to say what was required"I support him" which she said several times.Obama received no recognition of his accomplishments or the quality of his presidency from Hillary, except toe-in-the-water statements such as Barack and the Democrats know how to do this and that--always tying "and the Democrats" to anything she had to say about Obama's know-how.Hillary is bright and calculating. Notice in her opening moments she wasn't proud of Bill? She was proud of everything else--her mother, her daughter, America, her support for Obama. Why not Bill? Because there are certain lines Hillary just won't cross, no matter how much the DNC twists her arm....Some of you just dont get it. She HAD to sell Obama to stay viable in her party. Read all the speeches at the Democratic National Convention. Here are the omissions from Hillary's speech that are common amongst others. He will be a great president. He is ready to be commander in chief. He is ready to lead.Hope.Change we can believe in.We are who we've been waiting for.and if those aren't enough, go to her speech, click on "Find on this page" and type "Judgement" and what do you get? "TEXT NOT FOUND".Just to be sure, go back and type "judgment" and what do you get? "TEXT NOT FOUND"."Judgement!" If there's one word that would have helped remove my doubts about her opinion, that was the one. That's the word that all "true" Obama supporters use.Hillary is smarter than you guys. lol..Gemini:I'm sorry, I know you think you heard it, evidenced by your comment "She did say he'd be a great prez." but really she did not. I like Obama getting a nomination a little more than Hilliary. Not that I'm an Obama nut. (No I didn't sign up for the Text Message 3 AM thing.) Just that I remember what kind of Hell the right put Fmr.President Clinton through at the end of his 2nd term. I remember hearing about big scandals, attempted murders (through my uncles rants), political exploitation, and various other shady connections. Now granted the skill of both Hilliary and Bill outshines and surpasses Barack by a mile. Hell, even Hilliary outshines Barack and he's the nominee. The democrats do belong to them, or at least owe them a great deal. (The Clintons that is.)However the thing is with Barack it shows now more than ever that republicans claim "they're happy that we gave them the election" but the thing is that my Grandfather (More right-winged than Jerry Falwell, and Limbaugh combined) can only muster up the minor infractions that the media currently offers. Which to me proves my point, or rather the point that previous poster today reiterated to me. Had (democrats) nominated Hilliary we would've seen those big guns and big infractions against the Clintons reassemble. That would've surely given the GOP much more to work with than a senator whose worst connections include Wright, Rezko, and half-brother in Kenya (who supports him lol).To me it seems that this year it isn't the democrats who are running scared and are unsure of their candidate but rather the GOP. Scars from the interior of the GOP seem more frequent than our apparent Clinton /Obama faction scars do. The only difference like always is that the GOP conservatives (actual fiscal conservatives) are behind closed doors where democrats (like always) are out in the open.Wow leanne you didn't even respond to what I was writing about lol. Thanks for proving my point.

In her speech to the Democratic National Convention tonight, Nancy Pelosi was at pains to underline that John McCain is “wrong” on the issue of energy. Setting aside that it’s tough to argue that there’s anything “wrong” with advocating a comprehensive, all of the above energy policy, I’ve noted before that John McCain voted against the 2005 energy bill which he said contained “irresponsible” handouts, while Barack Obama voted for it—and that Democrats like Senator Clinton, John Kerry and Chuck Schumer also criticized that bill and voted against it. But here’s an additional point of interest, in view of Obama’s selection of Joe Biden as his running mate: Biden also voted against the bill. That leaves me wondering, Madam Speaker, does that mean Joe Biden is also wrong on energy policy?

I watched a little bit of the democratic convention and it sounded more like Comedy Central was hosting it! I didn't watch Hillary's speech, but I heard all the insults being lobbed at the Republicans. Insults like (not a direct quote) "John is right! He doesn't know that much about economics!" This is when I bury my head into the arm of my couch and think.....This country is going to be a disaster. Both parties (mainly the democrats) are so focused on shooting insults and trying to find dirt on the other that it's like we don't matter anymore. We can't keep doing this. They are so focused on scorning the other.....they have forgotten their jobs. The delusioned idiots have forgotten they were elected to serve the good of the American people. And right now they don't have a plan. Their plan in '06 was to spread liberal media and get the Republicans out of congress. But when they got the majority.....they didn't have a plan for us and now they have the lowest approval rating ever. I don't know about you but I want them to make a plan then go on the attack. It's been a disaster since they got in and now all they can do is blame President Bush! Nancy Pelosi just rattles on and on about how they've had to fix all of his messes. Well if you're so good and those messes are so bad fix them! But don't use the President as a scape goat. And don't make the American people think he's a king. Sophmores in my U.S. History class thought that from all this media that he was some sort of king that had the power to go to war and even bypass congress!!!!! Look what the media has done. IM TIRED OF ALL THIS DAMN BICKERING AND WE NEED SOME REAL LEADERS. THE ONLY REASON WE DON'T GET ANYTHING DONE ON THAT DUMBASS HILL IS BECAUSE WE HAVE ALL THESE RICH SON OF A BITCHES THAT HAVE BEEN FOCUSED MORE ABOUT GETTING THEMSELVES PLACES IN THIS WORLD THAN WORRYING ABOUT THE GOOD OF THE COMMON PEOPLE. ALL THEY CAN DO IS BLAME THE OTHER BECAUSE THEY CAN'T STICK THEIR ALL-BULLSHIT MINDS TOGETHER AND COME UP WITH SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE CAN AGREE WITH. I WANT A NO-NONSENCE PRESIDENT. AND BARACK HAS SHOWN A LOT OF NONSENCE. I want change! I had 5 stances on the war! My uncle liberated Auschwitz! I'm sorry....but I like candidates that can make decisions for themselves and don't back off on those decisons. I had lots of respect for both of them. But the more I found out about Barack's inexperience and foolishness. It drove me away. I mean the guy wanted to argue about houses! lol. If he wants to win.....he should fire all of his campaign staff and higher some really experienced people. Well excluding the Barack thing...do you agree that this country is going to go into an unrecoverable dive because our representatives and leaders are too focused on arguing and personal gain? I mean all the scandals, and the hyprocisy. Im tired of it and we need to get somebody who wants to help the people.....not themselves.Lurker! That's the point! Lies on both sides! This comes at a time when Barack Obama holds a very slight lead over McCain in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.Powell, the best-known African-American in the Republican Party, beats McCain more than two-to-one, 54% to 26%, with 21% of voters undecided. An identical number of Democrats (75%) prefer either Obama or Powell over McCain. But while 84% of GOP voters favor McCain against Obama, just 48% favor him over Powell, who pulls 35% of GOP voters in a contest with his fellow Republican.Unaffiliated voters give the edge to McCain over Obama 41% to 35%. But Powell beats McCain among unaffiliateds 44% to 21%. But, if Powell endorses Obama, (which is quite possible) is McCain toast?

Democrats such as Barack Obama are increasingly showing a disturbing eagerness to invoke the power of the state to silence critics. The latest example of this growing anti-First Amendment mentality is Obama’s heavy-handed response to a television ad by an independent nonprofit that raises some very basic questions about the Illinois senator’s relationship with William Ayers, the unrepentant 1960s terrorist bomber. Obama’s campaign has encouraged supporters to flood television stations with protests whenever they see the ad. Nothing wrong with that, but the other thrust of the Obama response was to ask the Justice Department to intervene to stop further airing of the ad. That’s where Obama crossed the line and raised a question of fundamental importance — does he or does he not believe the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of speech? The ad was produced by a tax-exempt nonprofit, the American Issues Project, whose primary donor is an individual previously associated with the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the controversial group that ran television ads in 2004 questioning Sen. John Kerry’s account of his Vietnam service. Fox News and CNN have declined to air the ad, but it has appeared on numerous other stations.

The following is an article from the July 7, 2008, issue #27 from 'The American Free Press' Newspaper, an article by Assistant editor, Pat Shannon .'It now appears that Barack Obama is constitutionally ineligible for the office of president. John McCain's eligibility was established in 1964, when courts ruled Sen. Barry Goldwater was eligible although he was born in Arizona when it was a territory, not a state. McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone when it was a U.S. There is speculation that his American mother may have brought him to Honolulu shortly after his birth in Kenya , but no proof of that has been shown.According to the law on the books at the time of Obama's birth, the office of president requires that a candidate be a natural citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. citizen parents. Since he was not, should it be proven that Obama was not born in Hawaii , as claimed, he is ineligible without further debate. But assuring that he was born there, he has another problem.According to a legal researcher who has contacted the AFP, U.S. law very clearly states: 'If only one parent is a U.S. citizen at the time of one's birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for a minimum of 10 years, five of which must be after the age of 16.' And therein lies Obama's new problem.Barack Obama's father was never a U.S. citizen.Interestingly, there isn't much paperwork on the marriage of Obama's parents, and this has a few researchers speculating that it never took place at all. On page 27 of 'Obama: From Promise to Power', David Mendell writes: 'Obama later confessed that he never searched for the government documents on the marriage, although Madelyn (Obama's maternal grandmother) insisted they were legally married.' He also notes that Obama's father apparently was not legally divorced from his first wife back in Kenya at the time, a point of contention that ultimately led to their separation. In essence, the mother alone is not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. citizenship. If he cannot satisfactorily do so, he should be deemed immediately ineligible to hold the office of president.'

Don Imus: Obama an 'Empty Suit and a Phony'Wednesday, August 27, 2008 4:18 PMBy: Phil Brennan Article Font Size Nationally syndicated talk radio host Don Imus says he will back John McCain for president because Barack Obama is “an empty suit and a phony."Imus, appearing on Monday's Fox News broadcast of "Your World with Neil Cavuto," said, "I have personal experience at that. When I made my remarks about the Rutgers basketball team, which was mean-spirited and directed at people who did not deserve to be made fun of — and was not funny — I apologized for that. I didn't offer any lame excuses, [but] he refused to place into context either my life … or any of the work that I had done in my life," Imus said. "As I pointed out to Al Sharpton, I slept in the house here at the ranch with more black children who are not related to me than either one of them [the Obamas] ever have. And then when this psychopath Rev. Wright shoots his mouth off, and I wasn't serious, [but] he was serious making outrageous reprehensible remarks."Imus continued, “The first thing Senator Obama asked all of us to do was to place this clown’s life in perspective and to consider the context. That's nonsense. I don't detest Senator Obama at all, I just think he’s disingenuous and a phony.” Imus poked fun at the current Democratic National convention asking, “Why do the Democrats invite every loser — Dukakis and Gore and John Kerry and Clinton — hanging around to remind everybody that here is another guy who couldn't get it done. I don't get that. It just reminds us that it’s been one disastrous campaign after another.” As for McCain, Imus said he thinks the Arizona senator “has the potential to be a president in the tradition of Teddy Roosevelt, and I love the guy.” © 2008 Newsmax. Open Question: Is the 2008 election...

June 29, 2008

A lot has been made in the 2008 primaries and presidential election about gender and race. However, I'd like to discuss race. Often times, I hear on the news when Barack Obama doesn't fair well in a primary or a poll, the announcer or media commentator try to connect that to him being African American and that we're not ready (as a country) to have an African American as president.I pose a better question - Why ARE people voting for Barack Obama? Imparticularly, African Americans.I ask this for a simple reason - over the course of January through mid-June, we had primaries and caucusses abound. Then, CNN would break down the demographics and every time, African Americans overwhelmingly voted for Obama. I've seen many states where the African American population was polled at well over 90%. Now to me, this is confusing. We have two great candidates - one a white woman who has been involved in politics for many years and whose husband was coined "the first black president" because of his efforts and outreach to the African American community and we had a person who identifies himself as black, but has very little political expertise. Now to me, if you have the wife of a popular president coined "the first black president" and she is losing by 90%+ in some states among African Americans, I think it is safe to maybe assume people are indeed voting on race and now mere issues, stances, creditentials, and qualifications. In fact, I've noticed many African Americans coming forward in support of Obama and willing to campaign for Obama, but my question is, why didn't these people come forth before now? A perfect example is Oprah. She has been able to vote for decades and now decides to campaign for a democrat and coincidentally enough he is african american? Mere coincidence?Ludacris made a music video saying "We're going to paint the white house black." Where was Ludacris in 1996, 2000, and 2004? My point is - if other races and ethnicities are aware of the voting trends among African Americans in regards to voting for the African American for president, do you think caucasians are going to say "Well they're clearly voting based on race, so I will too!" and then cast a vote for McCain?

He quickly resigned. How will this sit with voters? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121876461747243159.html?mod=googlenews_wsj Deleted Answer: Don't you mean Joe Bidens Kid??? WASHINGTON - A son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden was paid an undisclosed amount of money as a consultant by MBNA, the largest employer in Delaware, during the years the senator supported legislation that was promoted by the credit card industry and opposed by consumer groups. ADVERTISEMENT Barack Obama's presidential campaign said Biden helped forge a bipartisan compromise on the measure, which is now law and makes it harder for consumers to obtain bankruptcy protection in the courts. MBNA's consulting payments to Hunter Biden, first reported by The New York Times, followed his departure in 2001 from the company, where he had been an executive. Obama opposed the bankruptcy law, enacted in 2005, while Biden supported it. David Wade, a spokesman for the Obama campaign, said that "after working in the Clinton administration in the Department of Commerce on Internet privacy and online commerce issues, Hunter consulted for five years as an expert on these very same issues at a time of enormous expansion in online banking." At the time Hunter Biden was receiving consulting payments from MBNA, he also was a Washington lobbyist at a firm he had co-founded. "He was not a lobbyist for MBNA, and his work had absolutely nothing to do with the bankruptcy bill. Zero. Nothing," said Wade. Resurrecting Biden's role in the bankruptcy legislation could undercut one of the Obama campaign's lines of attack: That his Republican opponent, John McCain, is insensitive to the financial woes of middle-class Americans. Consumer and civil rights groups and unions, as well as Democratic opponents, had argued that the bankruptcy legislation was unfair to low-income working people, single mothers, minorities and the elderly, and would remove a safety net for those who have lost their jobs or face mounting medical bills. The financial services industry made the case that bankruptcy frequently is a refuge of gamblers, impulsive shoppers, divorced or separated fathers avoiding child support, and multimillionaires who buy mansions in states with liberal exemptions to shelter assets from creditors. When the Senate Judiciary Committee approved the bill early in 2005, Biden, Dianne Feinstein of California and Herb Kohl of Wisconsin were the only Democrats to vote with the Republican majority. Biden also voted for the bill on final passage in the Senate, while Obama voted against it. MBNA employees have poured more than $200,000 into Biden's Senate campaigns over the past two decades, making donors working for the credit card company the senator's largest source of campaign money. On the bankruptcy bill, the senator "took plenty of knocks from the largest employer in his state because he demanded changes," said Wade, the Obama campaign spokesman. "Sen. Biden improved the bill for low-income workers, women, and children. There were times when he believed amendments on both sides would have blown up a bipartisan compromise backed by three quarters of the Senate. At those moments, Sen. Biden had to make the tough calls and he voted to pass a bill." In a separate matter in which Hunter Biden's lobbying activities were referenced, he and Biden's brother Jim have been sued for allegedly defrauding an ex-business partner. In the lawsuit filed last year in state court in New York, Anthony Lotito says that he got a call from Jim Biden in early 2006 saying that Sen. Biden was concerned with the impact that Hunter's lobbying activities might have on the senator's expected campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. According to the lawsuit, Jim Biden said his brother had asked him to seek Lotito's assistance in finding employment for Hunter in a non-lobbying capacity. The lawsuit says that Lotito later was cut out of a business arrangement with Jim and Hunter Biden to purchase a Wall Street hedge fund. Nicholas Gravante, a lawyer for the Bidens, said that Lotito's claim that Sen. Biden told his brother that he was concerned about his son's lobbying activities is completely baseless. "There is absolutely no connection between Joe Biden and this lawsuit. The case is without merit and it will be dismissed," said Gravante, a partner at the firm of Boies, Schiller & Flexner. HELP ME PLEASE!!! Those darn CONSERVATIVES keep attacking me that my liberal Democrats are ELITISTS...They give these examples and I don't know what to do:Example 1: Joe Biden telling this guy he has a higher IQ than him (It doesn't even seem like Joe Biden knows this guy---how can he be so certain about this?)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyEqyYUGk4IExample 2: Apparently TED KENNEDY stopped the construction of RENEWABLE ENERGY GENERATING WINDMILLS because he claimed it upset the view from his limousine while he drove to his vacation compound on the coast of Massachussetts. Does anyone have the REAL details here? I can't believe he would do that!Example 3: Apparently Barack Obama dismissed many people who lean conservative saying "it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."Did he really say that? What was the REAL context? Please help me----I'm sick of losing these arguments----or somehow attacking McCain as being "OLD" or "his wife is rich"---both of which seem very ornery and un-American attacks.{{PLEASE STAR THIS QUESTION! }}I need as much help as possible to defend myself against these crazy Neo-Cons!!!
