Ok, i just got a PS3 and i am trying to hook up surround sound to my Onkyo receiver model # TX-DS484. I have an HDMI plugged into my TV and an Optical plug running from the PS3 to my receiver, but am getting NO sound through my speakers. I changed the audio settings on my PS3 from HDMI to Optical, but i just get no sound. My receiver doesnt have any HDMI plugs so thats why i am using the optical route. HELP!!! Its bugging the HELL out of me!!!!yea, i have 9 different functions. Multi-Ch. Input, DVD, Video 1, Video 2, Tape, FM, AM, Phono, and CD. Above there is a Parameter Selector. I'm trying to make a fanvid, and I have a video that I just want to the music from to go over a video that i made. Well, I can't figure out how to do it. I tried to drag the video into the timeline and delete it, so that the audio would be left, but it just deleted everything. How do I go about this?

I want to put a video from my computer to my digital camera, i put the little disc thing into my computer, opened the folder, and dragged the video into the folder, and put the card disc thing back in2 the camera, when i looked the video wasn't there, and i think it was bcos it was the wrong type of file.. i looked at the properties, and it said "Windows Media Audio/Video file" then i looked at a video i had moved from my camera to the computer, and it said "Video Clip" so i figured that might hav something 2 do with it... so please tell me how i can put a video on2 my digital camera!! or how 2 change the file type from Windows Media Audio/Video file to Video Clip if i hav 2... Hi there im having some audio issues with my Tevion webcam model: 3467. The mic is either not working or is not properly installed. There are 2 seperate cords, one for the USB and one for the mic which i have plugged in the pink audio slot.The webcam came with a set up disk which i have used. The PC tells me the hardware is working fine. Im specifically wanting the mic to work so i can chat on skype.Anything?

I have a Dell 1501 laptop with an internal CD burner and Roxio Easy Media Creator 9. My computer stats show that my system has a Sigma Tel High definition audio CODEC. Does this mean I have a sound card? The problem is that I don't know where the sound card is located, and it I don't see anywhere on the computer where there is "line in". Hi.I guess my last question about the same issue was not clear. I would like to add something more to the question. I'm trying to get speakers for SONY XPLOD CDX-GT460. It's output is 52w X 4 and 4 ohm. Should i go for the speakers which have exactly 52W each. Is there any problem if i buy speakers of power rating more or less than 52W. Are speakers written as 300W on the cover produce 300W each? if i use it.. wil it damage the system? Please help as I'm technologically challenged in car audio. I'm trying to use only the head unit and 4 speakers (2 in front door and 2 in the rear boot of my hatchback).. That is no extra amp. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have sony trv-608 hi-8. camcorder and laptop do not have firewire. I have tried Dazzle, Honestect usb 2.0 capture device, software driver which comes with camcorder. All choppy before and after. I heard adjustments need to be made at the media graphics accelerator slider to a slower speed. where is that and is that true? Camcorder and laptop do have usb ports, rca jacks, audio jacks, s-port. Trying to transfer 8 tapes then get rid of it. ready to use new digital cam and new mac mini with firewire, all transfers are problem free.Any input is much appreciated. thanks. Ok Connected to my ipod i have a 3.5 mm audio out cable and then clipped on the end i have 3 alligator clips. Each metal terminal on the 3.5 mm cable i have a clip. On each of the end terminals i have a cable going to a speaker and then the negative terminals from the speakers come back through the terminal on the 3.5 jack closest to the ipod. How can i make the speakers play louder there pleny powerful but the ipod isnt outputting enought is there a way to connect a battery im new to stereo wiring.. does anybody even no what im talking aboutyes the sound is turned up all the way in settingsBy the way the speakers are tiny like 4 inches in diameter so i dont want to need any large expensive equiptment recently i took apart a small boom box would there be an amplifier in that and what would it look like

I recently bought a new audio system, i have it plugged into the green jack at the back of my computer and my headset (which has a microphone) plugged into the front 2 holes which are for sound and microphone, i can hear sound through my audio and through my headset, however the microphone doesnt work, and i have plugged the micrphone in the back aswell and without the audio and it still doesnt work, just the microphone. i was just wondering under the circumstances wether its a wrong configuration or broken, one thing you should note is that i accidently put a rather heavy box on top of it earlier wether this has affected it i have no idea,, my headset has been through some rouph times.

For recording guitar? I made a video to put on youtube, and I set the mic right next to my amp. But it's weird, because sometimes it sounds really good, and then it fades out and has like this really crappy metallic sound. And it goes back and forth randomly. Is there any way to fix this?

i ordered ma dell computer to b configured with windows vista home basic. Bt the net connection was nt supported by vista....so i also uploaded widows xp in ma pc thru a local source.......bt audio connectivity is nt dere in xp......i dont understand y...audio files do play well in vista bt not in xp...both windows r in separate drives.....plz help

The cnet user review for onkyo TX-SR605 lists one of the negatives as "Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding cannot be used with current crop of high-definition video players."Is this true now will it decode the DTS-HD from PS3 and is this because it came out a year ago?
